    وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: { كَسَانِي اَلنَّبِيُّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -حُلَّةً سِيَرَاءَ, فَخَرَجْتُ فِيهَا, فَرَأَيْتُ اَلْغَضَبَ فِي وَجْهِهِ, فَشَقَقْتُهَا بَيْنَ نِسَائِي } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ, وَهَذَا لَفْظُ مُسْلِمٍ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري (5840)، ومسلم (2071). “تنبيه” لا وزن لقول الحافظ: “وهذا لفظ مسلم” إذ هو نفس لفظ البخاري حرفا بحرف سواء بسواء.

    Narrated ‘Ali bin Abi Talib (RA): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) presented me a silk suit of clothing. I went out wearing it, but on noticing anger on his face, I cut it up (and divided it) among the women of my household. [Agreed upon, and this is the wording of Muslim].

    وَعَنْ أَبِي مُوسَى – رضى الله عنه – أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { أُحِلَّ اَلذَّهَبُ وَالْحَرِيرُ لِإِنَاثِ أُمَّتِي, وَحُرِّمَ عَلَى ذُكُورِهِمْ. } 1 . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَالنَّسَائِيُّ, وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَصَحَّحَهُ 2 . 1 – كذا في”الأصلين”: وفي المصادر”ذكورها”. 2 – صحيح. رواه أحمد (4/394 و 407)، والنسائي (8/161)، والترمذي (1720). وقال الترمذي: “حديث أبي موسى حديث حسن صحيح”. قلت: وبشواهده المذكورة في “الأصل”.

    Narrated Abu Musa (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Gold and silk are lawful for the females among my followers, but prohibited to the males”. [Reported by Ahmad, an-Nasa’i and at-Tirmidhi, who graded it Sahih (authentic)].

    وَعَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا; أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { إِنَّ اَللَّهَ يُحِبُّ إِذَا أَنْعَمَ عَلَى عَبْدٍ أَنْ يَرَى 1 أَثَرَ نِعْمَتِهِ عَلَيْهِ } رَوَاهُ اَلْبَيْهَقِيُّ 2 . 1 – تحرف في”أ” إلى: “ترى”. 2 – صحيح. رواه البيهقي (3/271)، وهو وإن كان ضعيف السند، إلا أن له شواهد أخرى يصح بها.

    Narrated ‘Imran bin Husain (RA): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “When Allah grants His blessings to His servant, He loves to see the traces of His favour upon him.” [Reported by al-Baihaqi].

    وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ – رضى الله عنه – { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -نَهَى عَنْ لُبْسِ الْقَسِيِّ وَالْمُعَصْفَرِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (2078)، وتمامه: “وعن تختم الذهب. وعن قراءة القرآن في الركوع”. القسي: هي ثياب مضلعة بالحرير تجلب من مصر تعمل بالقس وهي قرية على ساحل البحر قريبة من تنيس. المعصفر: المصبوغ بالعصفر، وهو صبغ أصفر اللون.

    Narrated ‘Ali (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) forbade wearing of silk and clothes dyed with safflower (a red dye). [Reported by Muslim].

    وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرِوٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا, قَالَ: { رَأَى عَلَيَّ اَلنَّبِيُّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -ثَوْبَيْنِ مُعَصْفَرَيْنِ, فَقَالَ: “أُمُّكَ أَمَرَتْكَ بِهَذَا?” } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (2077)، وتمامه قال عبد الله بن عمرو: قلت: أغسلهما. قال: “بل أحرقهما”.

    Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Amr (RA): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) saw me in two clothes dyed in safflower (a red dye), whereupon he said: “Did your mother order you to do this?” [Reported by Muslim].

    وَعَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا { أَنَّهَا أَخْرَجَتْ جُبَّةَ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -مَكْفُوفَةَ اَلْجَيْبِ وَالْكُمَّيْنِ وَالْفَرْجَيْنِ, بِالدِّيبَاجِ } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ 1 . 1 – حسن. رواه أبو داود (4054).

    Narrated Asma’ bint Abu Bakr (RA): She brought out the mantle (over-garment) of Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم)) with it’s collar, sleeves, front and back hemmed with brocade (silk). [Abu Dawud reported it].

    وَأَصْلُهُ فِي “مُسْلِمٍ” , وَزَادَ: { كَانَتْ عِنْدَ عَائِشَةَ حَتَّى قُبِضَتْ, فَقَبَضْتُهَا, وَكَانَ اَلنَّبِيُّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -يَلْبَسُهَا, فَنَحْنُ نَغْسِلُهَا لِلْمَرْضَى نَسْتَشْفِي بِهَا } 1 . 1 – حسن. وهو عند مسلم (3/1641) وعنده: “يستشفى”.

    Its basic meaning is in Muslim’s Sahih with the addition: “It was with ‘Aishah (RA) till she died, then I took possession of it. The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to wear it, and we wash it for the sick, seeking cure by means of it.”

    وَعَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ: { أَصَابَنَا -وَنَحْنُ مَعَ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ- – صلى الله عليه وسلم -مَطَرٌ قَالَ: فَحَسَرَ ثَوْبَهُ, حَتَّى أَصَابَهُ مِنَ اَلْمَطَرِ, وَقَالَ: “إِنَّهُ حَدِيثُ عَهْدٍ بِرَبِّهِ” } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ. 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (898).

    Narrated [Anas (RA)]: Rain fell upon us while we were with Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم). He opened his garment till some of the rain fell upon him. He then said, “It has only recently been created by its Rabb.” [Reported by Muslim].

    وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا; أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَانَ إِذَا رَأَى اَلْمَطَرَ قَالَ: { اَللَّهُمَّ صَيِّبًا نَافِعًا } أَخْرَجَاهُ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري (1032). “تنبيه”: وهذا من أوهام الحافظ رحمه الله إذ عزا الحديث للشيخين، وتبعه على ذلك غير واحد بل استنكر الصنعاني على المصنف أنه لم يقل: “متفق عليه”!!.

    Narrated ‘Aishah (RA): When the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) saw rain he said, “O Allah, (send down) a beneficial downpour.” [Agreed upon].

    وَعَنْ سَعْدٍ – رضى الله عنه – أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -دَعَا فِي اَلِاسْتِسْقَاءِ: { اَللَّهُمَّ جَلِّلْنَا سَحَابًا, كَثِيفًا, قَصِيفًا, دَلُوقًا, ضَحُوكًا, تُمْطِرُنَا مِنْهُ رَذَاذًا, قِطْقِطًا, سَجْلًا, يَا ذَا اَلْجَلَالِ وَالْإِكْرَامِ } رَوَاهُ أَبُو عَوَانَةَ فِي “صَحِيحِهِ” 1 . 1 – قال الحافظ في “التلخيص” (2/99): “وعن محمد بن إسحاق، حدثني الزهري، عن عائشة بنت سعد؛ أن أباها حدثها أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نزل واديا دهشا لا ماء فيه فذكر الحديث، وفيه ألفاظ غريبة كثيرة، أخرجه أبو عوانة بسند واه”.

    Narrated Sa’d (RA): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) supplicated (Allah) for rain saying, “O Allah, cover all the land with accumulated, thundering, plunging and lightening clouds from which You would send us down a showery, drizzly, and pouring rain. O Possessor of Glory and Honour.” [Reported by Abu ‘Awanah in his Sahih].
