    وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا; أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { مَنْ مَاتَ وَعَلَيْهِ صِيَامٌ صَامَ عَنْهُ وَلِيُّهُ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1952 ) ومسلم ( 1147 ). ” تنبيه “: الصوم الذي في هذا الحديث هو صوم النذر فقط، كما كنت بينت ذلك في كتابي ” الإلمام بآداب وأحكام الصيام ” الطبعة الأولى ص ( 65 – 66 ).

    ‘A’isha (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Whoever dies while he still has some fasts to make up (of the days of Ramadan), then his heir (any of them) should fast on his behalf.” Agreed upon.

    عَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ اَلْأَنْصَارِيِّ – رضى الله عنه – { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -سُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ عَرَفَةَ. قَالَ: ” يُكَفِّرُ اَلسَّنَةَ اَلْمَاضِيَةَ وَالْبَاقِيَةَ “, وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صِيَامِ يَوْمِ عَاشُورَاءَ. قَالَ: ” يُكَفِّرُ اَلسَّنَةَ اَلْمَاضِيَةَ ” وَسُئِلَ عَنْ صَوْمِ يَوْمِ اَلِاثْنَيْنِ, قَالَ: ” ذَاكَ يَوْمٌ وُلِدْتُ فِيهِ, وَبُعِثْتُ فِيهِ, أَوْ أُنْزِلَ عَلَيَّ فِيهِ ” } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم ( 1162 ) ( 197 )، وساقه الحافظ بتقديم وتأخير.

    Abu Qatadah Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated, ‘The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was asked about fasting on the day of Arafah (the 9th of the month of Dhul Hijjah). He replied, “Fasting on the day of Arafah is an expiation for the preceding year and the following year.” He was also asked about fasting on the day of Ashura (the 10th of the month of Muharram). He replied, “Fasting on the day of Ashura is an expiation for the preceding year.” The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was also asked about fasting on Monday, and he replied, “This is the day on which I was born and the day on which I was sent (with the Message of Islam) and the day on which I received revelation.” Related by Muslim.

    وَعَنْ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ اَلْأَنْصَارِيِّ – رضى الله عنه – أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { مَنْ صَامَ رَمَضَانَ, ثُمَّ أَتْبَعَهُ سِتًّا مِنْ شَوَّالٍ كَانَ كَصِيَامِ اَلدَّهْرِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم ( 1164 ).

    Abu Aiyub Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Whoever fasts during the month of Ramadan and then follows it with six days of Shawwal will be (rewarded) as if he had fasted the entire year.” Related by Muslim.

    وَعَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ اَلْخُدْرِيِّ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ مَا مِنْ عَبْدٍ يَصُومُ يَوْمًا فِي سَبِيلِ اَللَّهِ إِلَّا بَاعَدَ اَللَّهُ بِذَلِكَ اَلْيَوْمِ عَنْ وَجْهِهِ 1 اَلنَّارَ سَبْعِينَ خَرِيفًا } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ, وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُسْلِمٍ 2 . 1 – في مسلم وأيضا البخاري: ” وجهه عنه “. 2 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 2840 )، ومسلم ( 1153 ).

    Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “No servant (of Allah) fasts on a day (merely) for the sake of Allah except that Allah pushes the Hellfire seventy years further away from his face, due to fasting on this day.” Agreed upon and the wording is from Muslim.

    وَفِي لَفْظٍ: { فَقِيلَ لَهُ: إِنَّ اَلنَّاسَ قَدْ شَقَّ عَلَيْهِمُ اَلصِّيَامُ, وَإِنَّمَا يَنْظُرُونَ فِيمَا فَعَلْتَ، فَدَعَا بِقَدَحٍ مِنْ مَاءٍ بَعْدَ اَلْعَصْرِ، فَشَرِبَ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – حسن. وهذه الرواية في ” مسلم ” ( 1114 ) ( 91 )، ولكن لفظ: ” فشرب” ليس في “الصحيح “، وإنما هو من أوهام الحافظ رحمه الله.

    In another narration, ‘He was told that people are finding it difficult to fast (during the journey) and they are waiting to see what the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) will do. So he called for a cup of water after the Asr (afternoon) prayer and drank it.’ Related by Muslim.

    وَعَنْ حَمْزَةَ بْنِ عَمْرٍو الْأَسْلَمِيِّ رِضَى اَللَّهُ عَنْهُ; أَنَّهُ قَالَ: { يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! أَجِدُ بِي قُوَّةً عَلَى اَلصِّيَامِ فِي اَلسَّفَرِ, فَهَلْ عَلَيَّ جُنَاحٌ? فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم – ” هِيَ رُخْصَةٌ مِنَ اَللَّهِ, فَمَنْ أَخَذَ بِهَا فَحَسَنٌ, وَمَنْ أَحَبَّ أَنْ يَصُومَ فَلَا جُنَاحَ عَلَيْهِ ” } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم ( 1121 ) ( 107 ).

    Hamzah bin ’Amro Al-Aslami (RAA) narrated, ‘I said to the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ‘O Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم)! I find within me the strength to fast while traveling. Would there be any blame upon me if I were to do so?’ The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said to him, “It is a concession from Allah. Whoever takes it has done well. Whoever likes to fast, there is no blame upon him.”Related by Muslim.

    وَأَصْلُهُ فِي ” اَلْمُتَّفَقِِ ” مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَائِشَةَ; { أَنَّ حَمْزَةَ بْنَ عَمْرٍو سَأَلَ } 1 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 4 / 179 / فتح )، ومسلم ( 2 / 789 ) وتمامه: رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم عن الصيام في السفر، فقال: ” إن شئت فصم، وإن شئت فافطر “.

    And it’s basic meaning is in Al-Bukhari and Muslim from the narration of Aisha (with the wording) “that Hamza bin ‘Amro asked”.

    وَعَنْهُ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ مَنْ لَمْ يَدَعْ قَوْلَ اَلزُّورِ وَالْعَمَلَ بِهِ, وَالْجَهْلَ, فَلَيْسَ لِلَّهِ حَاجَةٌ فِي أَنْ يَدَعَ طَعَامَهُ وَشَرَابَهُ } رَوَاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ, وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 6057 )، وأبو داود ( 2362 )، ووهم الحافظ رحمه الله في نسبة هذا اللفظ لأبي داود دون البخاري؛ إذ هو لفظ البخاري حرفا حرفا سوى أنه قال: ” حاجة أن يدع ” بدون ” في ” ولا أثر لذلك. وأما أبو داود فليس عنده: ” والجهل ” وما أظن الحافظ ذكر أبا داود ولا عزه إليه إلا من أجل هذا اللفظ. والله أعلم.

    Abu Hurairah (BAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Whoever does not give up forged speech and evil actions and does not abandon foolishness, Allah is not in need of his leaving food and drink (i.e. Allah will not accept his FASTING).” Related by Al-Bukhari and Abu Dawud, and the wording is from the latter.

    وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -يُقَبِّلُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ, وَيُبَاشِرُ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ, وَلَكِنَّهُ أَمْلَكُكُمْ لِإِرْبِهِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ, وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُسْلِمٍ 1 . وَزَادَ فِي رِوَايَةٍ: { فِي رَمَضَانَ } 2 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1927 )، ومسلم ( 1106 )، ( 65 ). 2 – مسلم ( 1106 ) ( 71 ).

    ‘A’isha (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) would kiss and embrace (his wives) while fasting, for he had the most control of all of you over his desires.’ Agreed upon and the wording is from Muslim, who added in a narration, ‘In Ramadan.

    وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -اِحْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ مُحْرِمٌ, وَاحْتَجَمَ وَهُوَ صَائِمٌ } رَوَاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 1938 ) وتكلم بعضهم في الحديث، لكن كما قال الحافظ في ” الفتح ” ( 4 / 178 ): ” الحديث صحيح لا مرية فيه “. وانظر رقم ( 737 ).

    Ibn ‘Abbas (RAA) narrated that The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) had himself cupped while he was in a state of Ihram, and had himself cupped while he was fasting.’’ Related by Al-Bukhari.
