    حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، وَنَصْرُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ أَطْعَمَنَا رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم لُحُومَ الْخَيْلِ وَنَهَانَا عَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنْ أَسْمَاءَ بِنْتِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَهَكَذَا رَوَى غَيْرُ وَاحِدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ جَابِرٍ ‏.‏ وَرَوَاهُ حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ دِينَارٍ عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ جَابِرٍ وَرِوَايَةُ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ أَصَحُّ ‏.‏ قَالَ وَسَمِعْتُ مُحَمَّدًا يَقُولُ سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ أَحْفَظُ مِنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ ‏.‏

    Narrated Jabir: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) allowed us to eat horse meat, and he forbade us from eating donkey meat.” He said: There is something on this from Asma’ bin Abi Bakr. Abu ‘Eisa said: This Hadith is Hasan Sahih. This is how it was reported by more than one narrator, from ‘Amr bin Dinar from Jabir. Hammad bin Zaid reported it from ‘Amr bin Dinar from Muhammad bin ‘Ali, from Jabir. The narration of Ibn ‘Uyainah (no. 1793) is more correct. He said: I heard Muhammad saying: “Sufyan bin ‘Uyainah is better at memorizing than Hammad bin Zaid.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَهَّابِ الثَّقَفِيُّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ سَعِيدٍ الأَنْصَارِيِّ، عَنْ مَالِكِ بْنِ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَالْحَسَنِ، ابْنَىْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ عَنْ أَبِيهِمَا، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ نَهَى رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ مُتْعَةِ النِّسَاءِ زَمَنَ خَيْبَرَ وَعَنْ لُحُومِ الْحُمُرِ الأَهْلِيَّةِ ‏.‏

    Narrated ‘Abdullah and Al-Hasan, the sons of Muhammad bin ‘Ali: Fromt their father, that ‘Ali said: “During the time of Khaibar, the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) prohibited Mut’ah with women and eating the meat of domesticated donkeys.

    حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ الْمَخْزُومِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ الزُّهْرِيِّ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، وَالْحَسَنِ، هُمَا ابْنَا مُحَمَّدِ ابْنِ الْحَنَفِيَّةِ فَذَكَرَ نَحْوَهُ ‏.‏ وَعَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ يُكْنَى أَبَا هَاشِمٍ قَالَ الزُّهْرِيُّ وَكَانَ أَرْضَاهُمَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ غَيْرُ سَعِيدِ بْنِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ عَنِ ابْنِ عُيَيْنَةَ، وَكَانَ، أَرْضَاهُمَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

    Another chain and ‘Abdullah bin Muhammad’s Kunyah is Abu Hisham. Az-Zuhri said: “Al-Hasan bin Muhammad was the more acceptable of the two.” And he mentioned similarly. Others besides Sa’eed bin ‘Abdur-Rahman narrated from Ibn ‘Uyainah: “Abd ‘Abdullah bin Muhammad was the more acceptable of the two.” [Abu ‘Eisa said:] This Hadith is Hasan Sahih.

    حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنِ الْحَسَنِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، هُوَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، قَالَ قَالَ الْمُغِيرَةُ بْنُ شُعْبَةَ أَهْدَى دِحْيَةُ الْكَلْبِيُّ لِرَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم خُفَّيْنِ فَلَبِسَهُمَا ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَقَالَ إِسْرَائِيلُ عَنْ جَابِرٍ عَنْ عَامِرٍ وَجُبَّةً فَلَبِسَهُمَا حَتَّى تَخَرَّقَا لاَ يَدْرِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَذَكِيٌّ هُمَا أَمْ لاَ ‏.‏ وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الَّذِي رَوَى هَذَا عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ هُوَ أَبُو إِسْحَاقَ الشَّيْبَانِيُّ وَاسْمُهُ سُلَيْمَانُ وَالْحَسَنُ بْنُ عَيَّاشٍ هُوَ أَخُو أَبِي بَكْرِ بْنِ عَيَّاشٍ ‏.‏

    Narrated Ash-Sha’bi: From Al-Mughirah bin Shu’bah: “Dihyah Al-Kalbi gave a pair of Khuff to the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), so he wore them.” [Abu ‘Eisa said:] Isra’il said: “From Jabir, from ‘Amir: ‘And a Jubbah, so he wore them until they tore. And the Prophet (ﷺ) did not know whether they were from a slaughtered animal or not.’” This Hadith is Hasan Gharib. Abu Ishaq, the one who reported from Ash-Sha’bi, is Abu Ishaq Ash-Shaibani, and his name is Sulaiman. Al-Hasan bin ‘Ayyash is the brother of Abu Bakr bin ‘Ayyash.

    حَدَّثَنِي ابْنُ أَبِي عُمَرَ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي نَجِيحٍ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، قَالَتْ قَدِمَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم مَكَّةَ وَلَهُ أَرْبَعُ غَدَائِرَ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏ قَالَ مُحَمَّدٌ لاَ أَعْرِفُ لِمُجَاهِدٍ سَمَاعًا مِنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ ‏.‏

    Narrated Umm Hani: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) arrived in Makkah, and he had four braids.” [Abu ‘Eisa said:] This Hadith is Gharib. Muhammad said: “I do not know of Mujahid (a narrator) hearing from Umm Hani.”

    حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ مَنِيعٍ، حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ هَاشِمِ بْنِ الْبَرِيدِ، وَأَبُو سَعْدٍ الصَّغَانِيُّ عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْهَبِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ، عَنْ عَرْفَجَةَ بْنِ أَسْعَدَ، قَالَ أُصِيبَ أَنْفِي يَوْمَ الْكُلاَبِ فِي الْجَاهِلِيَّةِ فَاتَّخَذْتُ أَنْفًا مِنْ وَرِقٍ فَأَنْتَنَ عَلَىَّ فَأَمَرَنِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَنْ أَتَّخِذَ أَنْفًا مِنْ ذَهَبٍ ‏.‏

    Narrated ‘Urfajah bin As’ad: “My nose was severed on the Day of Al-Kulab during Jahiliyyah. So I got a nose of silver which caused an infection for me, so the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ordered me to get a node made of gold.”

    حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، حَدَّثَنَا الرَّبِيعُ بْنُ بَدْرٍ، وَمُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَزِيدَ الْوَاسِطِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي الأَشْهَبِ، نَحْوَهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ إِنَّمَا نَعْرِفُهُ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رَوَى سَلْمُ بْنُ زَرِيرٍ عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ طَرَفَةَ نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ أَبِي الأَشْهَبِ ‏.‏ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ عَنْ غَيْرِ وَاحِدٍ مِنْ أَهْلِ الْعِلْمِ أَنَّهُمْ شَدُّوا أَسْنَانَهُمْ بِالذَّهَبِ وَفِي هَذَا الْحَدِيثِ حُجَّةٌ لَهُمْ ‏.‏ وَقَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ مَهْدِيٍّ سَلْمُ بْنُ رَزِينٍ وَهُوَ وَهَمٌ وَأَبُو سَعْدٍ الصَّغَانِيُّ اسْمُهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ مُيَسَّرٍ ‏.‏

    Another chain with similar meaning. [Abu ‘Eisa said: ] This Hadith is Hasan Gharib, we only know of it as a narration of ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Tarafah. Salm bin Zarir reported similar to the narration of Abu Al-Ashhab from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Taraqah – “from ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Taraqah.” It has been related about more than one of the people of knowledge that they would brace their teeth with gold, and in this Hadith there was a proof for them. ‘Abdur-Rahman bin Mahdi said: “Salm bin Zarin” but that is an error, “Zarir” is more correct, and Abu Sa’d As-San’ani’s (a narrator in this chain) name is Muhammad bin Muyassir.

    Narrated Abu Al-Malih: From his father: “The Prophet (ﷺ) prohibited using predator skins as a spread.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذُ بْنُ هِشَامٍ، حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، أَنَّهُ كَرِهَ جُلُودَ السِّبَاعِ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَلاَ نَعْلَمُ أَحَدًا قَالَ عَنْ أَبِي الْمَلِيحِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، غَيْرَ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي عَرُوبَةَ ‏.‏

    Another chain from Abu Al-Malik, that he (ﷺ) disliked predator skins. Abu ‘Eisa said: We do not know anyone who said: “From Abu Al-Malih, from his father” except for Sa’eed bin Abi ‘Arubah.
