shamail 48 Noble Character And Habits Of Sayyidina Rasoolullah باب ماجاء في خلق رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم 4

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، وَأَحَمْدُ بْنُ عَبْدَةَ هُوَ الضَّبِّيُّ، وَالْمَعْنَى وَاحِدٌ، قَالا: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلْمٍ الْعَلَوِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، أَنَّهُ كَانَ عِنْدَهُ رَجُلٌ بِهِ أَثَرُ صُفْرَةٍ، قَالَ: وَكَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، لا يكَادُ يُواجِهُ أَحَدًا بِشَيْءٍ يَكْرَهُهُ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ، قَالَ لِلْقَوْمِ: لَوْ قُلْتُمْ لَهُ يَدَعُ هَذِهِ الصُّفْرَةَ.
Anas ibn Malik said (may Allah be well pleased with him): According to Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace), there was a man in his presence with a trace of saffron upon him. Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) could hardly face someone with something on him that he found disgusting, so when he left, he said to the people: ‘If only you would tell him to get rid of this saffron!’”

حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللهِ الْجَدَلِيِّ وَاسْمُهُ عَبْدُ بْنُ عَبْدٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ: لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَاحِشًا، وَلا مُتَفَحِّشًا وَلا صَخَّابًا فِي الأَسْوَاقِ، وَلا يَجْزِئُ بِالسَّيِّئَةِ السَّيِّئَةَ، وَلَكِنْ يَعْفُو وَيَصْفَحُ.

‘A’isha said: “Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) was neither obscene, nor profligate, nor boisterous in the markets, and he would not repay a misdeed with a misdeed, but would pardon and forgive.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ الأُمَوِيُّ، عَنِ ابْنِ جُرَيْجٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ، قَالَتْ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، يَقْطَعُ قِرَاءَتَهُ، يَقُولُ: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ رَبِّ الْعَالَمِينَ ثُمَّ يَقِفُ، ثُمَّ يَقُولُ: الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ ثُمَّ يَقِفُ، وَكَانَ يَقْرَأُ مَلِكِ يَوْمِ الدِّينِ.

Umm Salama said: “The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to interrupt his Qur’anic recitation. He would say: “Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds [al-hamdu li-llahi Rabbi ’l-‘alamin], then he would pause, then he would say: “The All-Merciful, the All-Compassionate [ar-Rahmani r-Rahim],” then he would pause and recite: “Master of the Day of Reckoning [Maliki yawm-id’deen].”

حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، عَنْ مُسْلِمٍ الأَعْوَرِ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَعُودُ الْمَرِيضَ، وَيَشْهَدُ الْجَنَائِزَ، وَيَرْكَبُ الْحِمَارَ، وَيُجِيبُ دَعْوَةَ الْعَبْدِ، وَكَانَ يَوْمَ بَنِي قُرَيْظَةَ عَلَى حِمَارٍ مَخْطُومٍ بَحَبْلٍ مِنْ لِيفٍ، وَعَلَيْهِ إِكَافٌ مِنْ لِيفٍ.

Anas ibn Malik said (may Allah be well pleased with him): “Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) used to visit the sick, attend funerals, ride a donkey, and accept invitations from slaves. On the Day of Banu Quraiza, he was mounted on a donkey bridled with a rope of palm- tree fibers and saddled with palm-tree fibers.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا اللَّيْثُ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ صَالِحٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ أَبِي قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: سَأَلْتُ عَائِشَةَ، عَنْ قِرَاءَةِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَكَانَ يُسِرُّ بِالْقِرَاءَةِ أَمْ يَجْهَرُ؟ قَالَتْ: كُلُّ ذَلِكَ قَدْ كَانَ يَفْعَلُ قَدْ كَانَ رُبَّمَا أَسَرَّ وَرُبَّمَا جَهَرَ فَقُلْتُ: الْحَمْدُ لِلَّهِ، الَّذِي جَعَلَ فِي الأَمْرِ سَعَةً.

‘Abdu’llah ibn Abi Qais said: “I asked “A’isha (may Allah be well pleased with her) about the Qur’anic recitation of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace): “Was he used to whispering the recitation, or pronouncing it audibly?” She said: “He used to do both. He would sometimes whisper and sometimes speak audibly.” I therefore said: “Praise be to Allah, who has granted us flexibility in the matter!”

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا مِسْعَرٌ، عَنْ أَبِي الْعَلاءِ الْعَبْدِيِّ، عَنْ يَحْيَى بْنِ جَعْدَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ هَانِئٍ، قَالَتْ: كُنْتُ أَسْمَعُ قِرَاءَةَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، بِاللَّيْلِ وَأَنَا عَلَى عَرِيشِي.

Umm Hani’ said: “I used to hear the Qur’anic recitation of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) during the night while I was on my pallet.”

حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ مُعَاوِيَةَ بْنِ قُرَّةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ مُغَفَّلٍ، يَقُولُ: رَأَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، عَلَى نَاقَتِهِ يَوْمَ الْفَتْحِ، وَهُوَ يَقْرَأُ: إِنَّا فَتَحْنَا لَكَ فَتْحًا مُبِينًا لِيَغْفِرَ لَكَ اللَّهُ مَا تَقَدَّمَ مِنْ ذَنْبِكَ وَمَا تَأَخَّرَ، قَالَ: فَقَرَأَ وَرَجَّعَ، قَالَ: وَقَالَ مُعَاوِيَةُ بْنُ قُرَّةَ: لَوْلا أَنْ يَجْتَمِعَ النَّاسُ عَلَيَّ لأَخَذْتُ لَكُمْ فِي ذَلِكَ الصَّوْتِ أَوْ قَالَ: اللَّحْنِ.

Abdu’llah ibn Mughaffal said: “I saw the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) on his she-camel on the Day of Victory, and he was reciting: “We have surely given you a clear victory, so that Allah may forgive you your former and your latter sins [innafatahna la-kafat’han mubina li-yaghfira la-ka ’llahu ma taqaddama min dhanbi-ka wa ma ta’akhkhara].” (Al Qur’an 48:1-2) He recited in a quivering voice.”

حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا نُوحُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ الْحُدَّانِيُّ، عَنْ حُسَامِ بْنِ مِصَكٍّ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: مَا بَعَثَ اللَّهُ نَبِيًّا إِلا حَسَنَ الْوَجْهِ، حَسَنَ الصَّوْتِ، وَكَانَ نَبِيُّكُمْ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَسَنَ الْوَجْهِ، حَسَنَ الصَّوْتِ، وَكَانَ لا يُرَجِّعُ.

Qataadah said: “Allah has not sent a Prophet unless he was endowed with a handsome face and a beautiful voice, and your Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) was endowed with a handsome face and a beautiful voice, and he did not chant in a quavering tone.”

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ حَسَّانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ أَبِي عَمْرٍو، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: كَانَتْ قِرَاءَةُ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، رُبَّمَا يَسْمَعُهَا مَنْ فِي الْحُجْرَةِ وَهُوَ فِي الْبَيْتِ.

Ibn Abbas said (may Allah be well pleased with him and his father): : “The Qur’anic recitation of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) was sometimes heard by those in the chamber, while he was in the house.”

حَدَّثَنَا سُوَيْدُ بْنُ نَصْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ الْمُبَارِكِ، عَنْ حَمَّادِ بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، قَالَ: أَتَيْتُ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَهُوَ يُصَلِّي، وَلِجَوْفِهِ أَزِيزٌ كَأَزِيزِ الْمِرْجَلِ مِنَ الْبُكَاءِ.

‘Abdullah ibn ash-Shikh-khir reported that his father said: “I came to Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) while he was performing the ritual prayer, and his inner body [jauf] was producing a humming sound like the humming of the cauldron due to his weeping.”
