    وَلَهُمَا مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ – رضى الله عنه – { لَا يُصَلِّي أَحَدُكُمْ فِي اَلثَّوْبِ اَلْوَاحِدِ لَيْسَ عَلَى عَاتِقِهِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ } 1 1 – “صحيح . رواه البخاري” (359) ، ومسلم (516).

    Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): [The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said:] None of you should offer Salat (prayer) in a single garment with no part of it on his shoulders. [Agreed upon].

    وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ – رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا- ; أَنَّهَا سَأَلَتْ اَلنَّبِيِّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ أَتُصَلِّي اَلْمَرْأَةُ فِي دِرْعٍ وَخِمَارٍ , بِغَيْرِ إِزَارٍ ? قَالَ : “إِذَا كَانَ اَلدِّرْعُ سَابِغًا يُغَطِّي ظُهُورَ قَدَمَيْهَا } أَخْرَجَهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ وَصَحَّحَ اَلْأَئِمَّةُ وَقْفَهُ . 1 1 – “ضعيف مرفوعا وموقوفا” . رواه أبو داود (640) ، وقال عقبه : “روى هذا الحديث مالك بن أنس ، وبكر بن مضر ، وحفص بن غياث ، وإسماعيل بن جعفر ، وابن أبي ذئب ، وابن إسحاق عن محمد بن زيد ، عن أمه ، عن أم سلمة ، لم يذكر أحد منهم النبي -صلى الله عليه وسلم- قصروا به على أم سلمة – رضي الله عنها- ” . قلت : وهذا الموقوف هو الصواب كما نقل الحافظ عن الأئمة ، ولكن لا يعني صحة الموقوف ، ففرق بين صواب الرواية وصحتها ، إذ الموقوف أيضا سنده ضعيف ، وعليه فلا حجة في قول الصنعاني في “السبل” (1/276) وقول تابعه الفقي بأن الموقوف له حكم الرفع !!.

    Narrated Umm Salamah (RA): She asked the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم), “Can a woman pray in a long dress and a veil without wearing a lower garment?” He replied, “If the long dress is ample and covers the surface of her feet.” [Reported by Abu Dawud and the Imams graded it Mawquf (a saying of Umm Salamah)].

    وَعَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ : { كُنَّا مَعَ اَلنَّبِيِّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -فِي لَيْلَةٍ مَظْلَمَةٍ , فَأَشْكَلَتْ عَلَيْنَا اَلْقِبْلَةُ , فَصَلَّيْنَا . فَلَمَّا طَلَعَتِ اَلشَّمْسُ إِذَا نَحْنُ صَلَّيْنَا إِلَى غَيْرِ اَلْقِبْلَةِ , فَنَزَلَتْ : (فَأَيْنَمَا تُوَلُّوا فَثَمَّ وَجْهُ اَللَّهِ ) } أَخْرَجَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ وَضَعَّفَهُ . 1 1 – رواه الترمذي (345 و 2957) ، وقال : “هذا حديث غريب ، لا نعرفه إلى من حديث أشعث السمان ؛ أبي الربيع ، عن عاصم بن عبيد الله ، وأشعث يضعف في الحديث” . ونحو ذلك قال في الموطن الأول . قلت : العلة ليست في أشعث فقط ، فهو وإن كان متروكا إلا أن عاصم بن عبيد الله أيضا سيئ الحفظ . وذهب شيخنا -حفظه الله- إلى أن هذا الحديث لا علة له إلا عاصم بن عبيد الله باعتبار متابعة عمرو بن قيس الملائي – وهو ثقة – لأشعث كما عند أبي داود الطيالسي (1145) ، وأقول : هذا وهم من الشيخ -حفظه الله- ، فإن المتابع هو “عمر بن قيس سندل” وهو متروك أيضا ، ولعل وقوع التحريف في “مسند الطيالسي” كان سبب ذلك الوهم . وأما حديث جابر الذي يشهد لهذا الحديث فهو أوهى منه فلا يفرح به . وعليه فلا ينفك الضعف عن الحديث بل هو ضعيف جدا كما تقدم .

    Narrated ‘Aamir bin Rabi’ah (RA): We were with the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) during a dark night and we became uncertain about the Qiblah (the direction of Makkah) we then prayed (without being certain). When the run rose, we discovered that we prayed towards a direction other than the Qiblah. So this Verse was revealed: “…so wherever you turn yourselves or your faces, there is the Face of Allah…” [Reported by at-Tirmidhi who graded it Da’if (weak)].

    وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ مَا بَيْنَ اَلْمَشْرِقِ وَالْمَغْرِبِ قِبْلَةٌ } رَوَاهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ , وَقَوَّاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ . 1 1 – صحيح . رواه الترمذي (344) وقال : حديث حسن صحيح . قلت : وليس في إسناده إلا الحسن بن بكر شيخ الترمذي فيه جهالة ، وللحديث طرق أخرى وشواهد يصح بها ، إلا أن هذا الطريق هو الذي قواه البخاري .

    Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “The direction between the east and west is Qiblah.” [Reported by at-Tirmidhi, and al-Bukhari considered it Qawi (strong)].

    وَعَنْ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ : { رَأَيْتُ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -يُصَلِّي عَلَى رَاحِلَتِهِ حَيْثُ تَوَجَّهَتْ بِهِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ . 1 1 – صحيح رواه البخاري (1093) ، ومسلم (701) وهذه الصلاة صلاة السبحة بالليل كما في رواية مسلم، وبعض روايات البخاري، واللفظ الذي ذكره الحافظ هنا هو لفظ البخاري .

    Narrated ‘Aamir bin Rabi’ah (RA): I saw Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) praying while mounted on his riding animal facing whatever direction it faced. [Agreed upon].

    زَادَ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ : { يُومِئُ بِرَأْسِهِ , وَلَمْ يَكُنْ يَصْنَعُهُ فِي اَلْمَكْتُوبَةِ } 1 . 1 – هذه الزيادة للبخاري برقم (1097) ، ويومئ برأسه أي في الركوع والسجود .

    al-Bukhari added: “Making gestures with his head and he did not do that (pray while mounted) with obligatory prayers.”

    وَلِأَبِي دَاوُدَ : مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَنَسٍ : { كَانَ إِذَا سَافَرَ فَأَرَادَ أَنْ يَتَطَوَّعَ اِسْتَقْبَلَ بِنَاقَتِهِ اَلْقِبْلَةِ , فَكَبَّرَ , ثُمَّ صَلَّى حَيْثُ كَانَ وَجْهَ رِكَابِهِ } وَإِسْنَادُهُ حَسَنٌ . 1 1 – حسن . رواه أبو داود (1225) وصححه غير واحد .

    Narrated Anas in another narration of the Hadith reported by Abu Dawud: When [he (صلى الله عليه وسلم)] traveled, and intended to pray a voluntary prayer, he used to direct his riding camel towards the Qiblah, say, “Allahu Akbar” and pray facing whatever direction it faced. [Its chain is Hasan (good)].

    وَلِأَبِي دَاوُدَ: فِي حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْدٍ أَنَّهُ قَالَ : أَنَا رَأَيْتُهُ – يَعْنِي : اَلْأَذَانُ – وَأَنَا كُنْتُ أُرِيدُهُ . قَالَ : “فَأَقِمْ أَنْتَ ” وَفِيهِ ضَعْفٌ أَيْضًا 1 . 1 – ضعيف . رواه أبو داود (512).

    Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Zaid in another narration of the Hadith reported by Abu Dawud: I saw it, i.e. the Adhan (in a vision) and I wanted to announce it. Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “You pronounce the Iqamah.” [This Hadith is also Da’if (weak)].

    وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةٌ فِي اَلْحَدِيثِ اَلطَّوِيلِ, { فِي نَوْمهُمْ عَنْ اَلصَّلَاةِ – ثُمَّ أَذَّنَ بِلَالٌ, فَصَلَّى رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَمَا كَانَ يَصْنَعُ كُلَّ يَوْمٍ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (681) في حديث طويل.

    Narrated Abu Qatadah (RA) in a long Hadith about their (Sahaba) sleeping late past the time of Salat (prayer): Then Bilal proclaimed the Adhan and the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) offered the prayer (while leading the Companions) as he used to do every day. [Reported by Muslim].
