    حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْعَلاءِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنِ أَبِي بَكْرٍ وَهُوَ ابْنُ الْمُلَيْكِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُلَيْكَةَ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ: لَمَّا قُبِضَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، اخْتَلَفُوا فِي دَفْنِهِ، فَقَالَ أَبُو بَكْرٍ: سَمِعْتُ مِنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، شَيْئًا مَا نَسِيتُهُ، قَالَ: مَا قَبَضَ اللَّهُ نَبِيًّا إِلا فِي الْمَوْضِعِ الَّذِي يُحِبُّ أَنْ يُدْفَنَ فِيهِ، ادْفِنُوهُ فِي مَوْضِعِ فِرَاشِهِ.

    A’isha said: “When Allah’s Messenger died (Allah bless him and give him peace), they disagreed over where to bury him, so Abu Bakr said: “I heard Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) say something I have never forgotten. He said: ‘Never has Allah taken a Prophet [from this world], but in the place where he would want to be buried.’ So bury him in the spot where his pallet is!’”

    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، وعياش العنبرى , وسوار بن عبد الله , وغير واحد , قالوا: أخبرنا يحيي بن سعيد , عن سفيان الثورى , عن موسى بن أبي عائشة , عن عبيد الله , عن ابن عباس وعائشة: أن أبا بكر قبل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بعدما مات.

    Ibn ‘Abbas and ‘A’isha report: “Abu Bakr kissed the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) after he died.”

    حدثنا محمد بن بشار , حدثنا صفوان بن عيسى , حدثنا محمد بن عمرو بن عيسى أبو نعامة العدوي , قال: سمعت خَالِدِ بْنِ عُمَيْرٍ , وشويسًا , أبا الرقاد قالا: بعث عمر بن الخطاب عُتْبَةُ بْنُ غَزْوَانَ وقَالَ انطلق أنت ومن معك , حتى إذا كنتم في أقصى أرض العرب , وأدنى بلاد أرض العجم , فأقبلوا حتى إذا كانوا بالمربد وجدوا هذا المكان , فقالوا: ما هذه؟ هذه البصرة. فسارواحتى إذا بلغوا حيال الجسر الصغير , فقالوا: هاهنا أمرتم , فنزلوا فذكروا الحديث بطوله..

    Khalid ibn ‘Umair and Shuwais Abur-Ruqad said: “’Umar ibn al-Khattab dispatched ‘Utba ibn Ghazwan, and he said: ‘Go away, you and whoever is with you, until you reach the most remote countries of the Arabs and the nearest countries of the non-Arabs!’ They therefore advanced until, when they reached al-Mirbad, they found this soft stone-like clay, so they said: ‘What is this?’ They were told: ‘This is Basra,’ so they traveled until they were in the vicinity of the small bridge. They said: ‘Here is our appointed destination,’ so they alighted and related the story from beginning to end. ‘Utba ibn Ghazwan said: ‘I found myself the seventh of seven with Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace). We ate nothing but tree-leaves until the corners of our mouths were covered with ulcers, so I picked up a garment which I divided between me and Sa’d, for there was not one of us among those seven who was not the governor of a city, and you will put the governors to the test after us.”

    حدثنا نصر بن علي الجهضمي، حدثنا مرحوم بن عبد العزيز العطار، عن يزيد بن بابنوس، عن عائشة أن أبا بكر دخل على النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم بعد وفاته فوضع فمه بين عينيه، ووضع يديه على ساعديه، وقال: وانبياه , واصفياه، واخليلاه.

    A’isha said: “Abu Bakr entered the presence of the Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) after his demise, whereupon he placed his mouth between his eyes, and his hands on his forearms, exclaiming: ‘O Prophet! O best friend! O bosom friend!’”

    حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ أَبِي عُتْبَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْخُدْرِيِّ، قَالَ: كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَشدَّ حَيَاءً مِنَ الْعَذرَاءِ فِي خِدْرِهَا، وَكَانَ إِذَا كَرِهَ شَيْئًا عَرَفْنَاهُ فِي وَجْهِهِ.

    Abu Sa’id al-Khudri said: “He (Allah bless him and give him peace) was more bashful than the virgin in her boudoir, and when he disapproved of something, we knew it from the expression on his face.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلانَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَكِيعٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ مَنْصُورٍ، عَنْ مُوسَى بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ يَزِيدَ الْخَطْمِيِّ، عَنْ مَوْلًى لِعَائِشَةَ، قَالَ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: مَا نَظَرْتُ إِلَى فَرْجِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم أَوْ قَالَتْ: مَا رَأَيْتُ فَرْجَ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَطُّ.

    ‘A’isha said: “I never looked at the private parts of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace).” (Or she said: “I never saw the private parts of Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace).”

    حَدَّثَنَا عَلِيُّ بْنُ حُجْرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، قَالَ: سُئِلَ أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ عَنْ كَسْبِ الْحَجَّامِ، فَقَالَ: احْتَجَمَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، حَجَمَهُ أَبُو طَيْبَةَ، فَأَمَرَ لَهُ بِصَاعَيْنِ مِنْ طَعَامٍ، وَكَلَّمَ أَهْلَهُ فَوَضَعُوا عَنْهُ مِنْ خَرَاجِهِ، وَقَالَ: إِنَّ أَفْضَلَ مَا تَدَاوَيْتَمْ بِهِ الْحِجَامَةُ، أَوْ إِنَّ مِنْ أَمْثَلِ دَوَائِكُمُ الْحِجَامَةَ.

    Anas ibn Malik said: “Allah’s Messenger (Allah bless him and give him peace) sought to have blood drawn from him by the operation of cupping. Abu Taiba cupped him, so he ordered two measures of food for him, and he spoke to his people, so they relieved him of some of his tax. He also said: ‘Cupping is the most excellent means by which you can provide medical treatment.’”

    حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا وَرْقَاءُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ الأَعْلَى، عَنْ أَبِي جَمِيلَةَ، عَنْ عَلِيٍّ: أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، احْتَجَمَ وَأَمَرَنِي فَأَعْطَيْتُ الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ.

    Ali said: “The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) had the operation of cupping performed upon him, and on his instructions I gave the cupper his fee.”

    حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ الْهَمْدَانِيُّ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنْ سُفْيَانَ الثَّوْرِيِّ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ الشَّعْبِيِّ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، قَالَ: إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم احْتَجَمَ فِي الأَخْدَعَيْنِ، وَبَيْنَ الْكَتِفَيْنِ، وَأَعْطَى الْحَجَّامَ أَجْرَهُ، وَلَوْ كَانَ حَرَامًا لَمْ يُعْطِهِ.

    Ibn Abbas said: “The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) had cupping performed between the two veins in the neck and between the shoulders. He also gave the cupper his fee, which he would not have done if cupping had been unlawful.”

    حَدَّثَنَا هَارُونُ بْنُ إِسْحَاقَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدَةُ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي لَيْلَى، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، دَعَا حَجَّامًا فَحَجَمَهُ وَسَأَلَهُ: كَمْ خَرَاجُكَ؟ فَقَالَ: ثَلاثَةُ آصُعٍ، فَوَضَعَ عَنْهُ صَاعًا وَأَعْطَاهُ أَجْرَهُ.

    Ibn ‘Umar said: “The Prophet (Allah bless him and give him peace) summoned a cupper, so he cupped him. Then he asked him: “How much is your tax?” He said: “Three measures of grain,” so he reduced his tax by one measure and gave him his fee.”
