    Chapter: What Has Been Related About The Virtue Of The Prophet (SAW)

    حَدَّثَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا جَعْفَرُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، عَنِ الْجَعْدِ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، قَالَ مَرَّ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَسَمِعَتْ أُمِّي أُمُّ سُلَيْمٍ صَوْتَهُ فَقَالَتْ بِأَبِي أَنْتَ وَأُمِّي يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أُنَيْسٌ ‏.‏ قَالَ فَدَعَا لِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ثَلاَثَ دَعَوَاتٍ قَدْ رَأَيْتُ مِنْهُنَّ اثْنَيْنِ فِي الدُّنْيَا وَأَنَا أَرْجُو الثَّالِثَةَ فِي الآخِرَةِ ‏. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ وَقَدْ رُوِيَ هَذَا الْحَدِيثُ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَنَسٍ عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏.‏

    Narrated Anas bin Malik: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) passed by, so my mother, Umm Sulaim, heard his voice and said: ‘May my father and mother be ransomed for you, O Messenger of Allah. This is Unais.’ So the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) supplicated for me with three supplications, and I have seem two of them in the world, and I hope for the third in the Hereafter.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ النُّفَيْلِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ وَاقِدٍ، عَنْ يُونُسَ بْنِ حَلْبَسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلاَنِيِّ، قَالَ لَمَّا عَزَلَ عُمَرُ بْنُ الْخَطَّابِ عُمَيْرَ بْنَ سَعِيدٍ عَنْ حِمْصَ، وَلَّى مُعَاوِيَةَ فَقَالَ النَّاسُ عَزَلَ عُمَيْرًا وَوَلَّى مُعَاوِيَةَ ‏.‏ فَقَالَ عُمَيْرٌ لاَ تَذْكُرُوا مُعَاوِيَةَ إِلاَّ بِخَيْرٍ فَإِنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ ‏ “‏ اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِ بِهِ ‏” ‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏, وَعَمْرُو بْنُ وَاقِدٍ يُضَعَّفُ ‏.‏

    Narrated Abu Idris Al-Khawlani: “When ‘Umar bin Al-Khattab removed ‘Umair bin Sa’d as governor of Hims, he appointed Mu’awiyah. The people said: ‘He has removed ‘Umair and appointed Mu’awiyah.’ So ‘Umair said: ‘Do not mention Mu’awiyah except with good, for indeed, I heard the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) saying: “O Allah guide (others) by him.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو أُسَامَةَ، عَنْ شَرِيكٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ الأَحْوَلِ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، قَالَ رُبَّمَا قَالَ لِيَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏ “‏ يَا ذَا الأُذُنَيْنِ ‏” ‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو أُسَامَةَ يَعْنِي يُمَازِحُهُ ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

    Narrated Anas bin Malik: that the Prophet (ﷺ) said to him: “O possessor of two ears!” (One of the narrators) Abu Usamah said: ‘He only meant it as a joke.’

    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ قَتَادَةَ، يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ أَنَسِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أُمِّ سُلَيْمٍ، أَنَّهَا قَالَتْ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَنَسٌ خَادِمُكَ ادْعُ اللَّهَ لَهُ ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏ “‏ اللَّهُمَّ أَكْثِرْ مَالَهُ وَوَلَدَهُ وَبَارِكْ لَهُ فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَهُ ‏” ‏ ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ ‏.‏

    Narrated Anas bin Malik: from Umm Sulaim, that she said: “O Messenger of Allah, Anas bin Malik is your servant, supplicate to Allah for him.” He said: “O Allah, increase his wealth and his children, and bless him in what You have given him.”

    حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ أَخْزَمَ الطَّائِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنْ أَبِي نَصْرٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، رضى الله عنه قَالَ كَنَّانِي رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم بِبَقْلَةٍ كُنْتُ أَجْتَنِيهَا ‏. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ جَابِرٍ الْجُعْفِيِّ عَنْ أَبِي نَصْرٍ ‏.‏ وَأَبُو نَصْرٍ هُوَ خَيْثَمَةُ بْنُ أَبِي خَيْثَمَةَ الْبَصْرِيُّ رَوَى عَنْ أَنَسٍ أَحَادِيثَ ‏.‏

    Narrated Anas [may Allah be pleased with him]: “The Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) gave me my Kunyah because of a plant that I used to care for.”

    حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ يَعْقُوبَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا مَيْمُونٌ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ثَابِتٌ الْبُنَانِيُّ قَالَ قَالَ لِي أَنَسُ بْنُ مَالِكٍ يَا ثَابِتُ خُذْ عَنِّي فَإِنَّكَ لَمْ تَأْخُذْ عَنْ أَحَدٍ أَوْثَقَ مِنِّي إِنِّي أَخَذْتُهُ عَنْ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَأَخَذَهُ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ جِبْرِيلَ وَأَخَذَهُ جِبْرِيلُ عَنِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى ‏. هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ لاَ نَعْرِفُهُ إِلاَّ مِنْ حَدِيثِ زَيْدِ بْنِ حُبَابٍ ‏.‏

    Narrated Thabit Al-Bunani: “Anas bin Malik said to me: ‘O Thabit, take from me, for indeed you shall not take from one more trustworthy than me. Verily, I took it from the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ), and the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) took it from Jibra’il, and Jibra’il took it from Allah the Mighty and Sublime.’”

    حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو كُرَيْبٍ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا زَيْدُ بْنُ حُبَابٍ، عَنْ مَيْمُونٍ أَبِي عَبْدِ اللَّهِ، عَنْ ثَابِتٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، نَحْوَ حَدِيثِ إِبْرَاهِيمَ بْنِ يَعْقُوبَ وَلَمْ يَذْكُرْ فِيهِ وَأَخَذَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم عَنْ جِبْرِيلَ ‏.‏

    Narrated Thabit: from Anas, similar to the previous narration of Ibrahim bin Ya’qub, and he did not mention in it: “And the Prophet (ﷺ) took it from Jibra’il.”

    حَدَّثَنَا مَحْمُودُ بْنُ غَيْلاَنَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، عَنْ أَبِي خَلْدَةَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ لأَبِي الْعَالِيَةِ سَمِعَ أَنَسٌ، مِنَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ خَدَمَهُ عَشْرَ سِنِينَ وَدَعَا لَهُ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَكَانَ لَهُ بُسْتَانٌ يَحْمِلُ فِي السَّنَةِ الْفَاكِهَةَ مَرَّتَيْنِ وَكَانَ فِيهَا رَيْحَانٌ يَجِدُ مِنْهُ رِيحَ الْمِسْكِ ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ ‏.‏ وَأَبُو خَلْدَةَ اسْمُهُ خَالِدُ بْنُ دِينَارٍ وَهُوَ ثِقَةٌ عِنْدَ أَهْلِ الْحَدِيثِ وَقَدْ أَدْرَكَ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ وَرَوَى عَنْهُ ‏.‏

    Narrated Abu Khaldah: “I said to Abu Al-‘Aliyah: ‘(Did) Anas heard from the Prophet (ﷺ)?’ He said: ‘He served him for ten years, and the Prophet (ﷺ) supplicated for him, and he used to have a garden that would bear fruit twice in the year, and there used to be sweet basil in it, from which could be found the smell of musk.’”

    حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ عُمَرَ بْنِ عَلِيٍّ الْمُقَدَّمِيُّ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي عَدِيٍّ، عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ سِمَاكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الرَّبِيعِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ أَتَيْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَبَسَطْتُ ثَوْبِي عِنْدَهُ ثُمَّ أَخَذَهُ فَجَمَعَهُ عَلَى قَلْبِي فَمَا نَسِيتُ بَعْدَهُ حَدِيثًا ‏.‏ قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ مِنْ هَذَا الْوَجْهِ ‏.‏

    Narrated Abu Hurairah: “I came to the Prophet (ﷺ) and spread out my garment next to him, then he took it and gathered it at my heart, so I did not forget after that [any Hadith].”

    حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُوسَى، مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا عُثْمَانُ بْنُ عُمَرَ، قَالَ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ أَبِي ذِئْبٍ، عَنْ سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، قَالَ قُلْتُ يَا رَسُولَ اللَّهِ أَسْمَعُ مِنْكَ أَشْيَاءَ فَلاَ أَحْفَظُهَا ‏.‏ قَالَ ‏ “‏ ابْسُطْ رِدَاءَكَ ‏” ‏ ‏.‏ فَبَسَطْتُ فَحَدَّثَ حَدِيثًا كَثِيرًا فَمَا نَسِيتُ شَيْئًا حَدَّثَنِي بِهِ ‏.‏ هَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ صَحِيحٌ وَ قَدْ رُوِيَ مِنْ غَيْرِ وَجْهٍ عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ ‏.‏

    Narrated Abu Hurairah: “I said: ‘O Messenger of Allah, I hear from you things that I do not remember.’ He said: ‘Spread your cloak.’ So I spread it, then he narrated many Ahadith, and I did not forget a thing that he reported to me.’”
