    وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لِلْمَمْلُوكِ طَعَامُهُ وَكِسْوَتُهُ, وَلَا يُكَلَّفُ مِنْ اَلْعَمَلِ إِلَّا مَا يُطِيقُ. } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – حسن. رواه مسلم (1662) ورجاله كلهم ثقات إلا العجلان مولى فاطمة فإنه حسن الحديث. وأما قول الحافظ في “التلخيص” (43): “وفيه محمد بن عجلان” يشير بذلك إلى أنه متكلم فيه وخاصة في أحاديث أبي هريرة، فهو وهم من الحافظ رحمه الله، إذ ليس في سند مسلم محمد بن عجلان. لكن رواه ابن حبان من طريقه (1205) وزاد: “فإن كلفتموهم فأعينوهم، ولا تعذبوا عباد الله، خلقا أمثالكم”. قلت: وإسنادها حسن، خاصة ولها شاهد، وهو مخرج “بالأصل”.

    Narrated Abu Hurairah (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “A slave is entitled to his food and clothing, and he should be burdened except with the work that he is capable of doing.” [Reported by Muslim].

    وَعَنْ حَكِيمِ بْنِ مُعَاوِيَةَ اَلْقُشَيْرِيِّ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: { قُلْتُ: يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! مَا حَقُّ زَوْجَةِ أَحَدِنَا عَلَيْهِ? قَالَ: “أَنْ تُطْعِمَهَا إِذَا طَعِمْتَ, وَتَكْسُوَهَا إِذَا اِكْتَسَيْتَ, وَلَا تَضْرِبِ اَلْوَجْهَ, وَلَا تُقَبِّحْ…]”. } اَلْحَدِيثُ. وتَقَدَّمَ فِي عِشْرَةِ اَلنِّسَاءِ. 1 . 1 – تقدم برقم (1018).

    Narrated Hakim bin Mu’awiyah al-Qushairi on his father’s authority (RA): I asked, “O Allah’s Messenger, what is the right of the wife of one of us upon her husband?” He replied, “That you should give her food when you eat, and clothe her when you clothe yourself, and do not strike her on the face and do not revile her.” [The narrator narrated the rest of the Hadith that has been mentioned in the chapter on the treatment of wives].

    وَعَنْ جَابِر بْنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ – رضى الله عنه – عَنْ اَلنَّبِيِّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم –فِي حَدِيثِ اَلْحَجِّ بِطُولِهِ- قَالَ فِي ذِكْرِ اَلنِّسَاءِ: { وَلَهُنَّ عَلَيْكُمْ رِزْقُهُنَّ وَكِسْوَتُهُنَّ بِالْمَعْرُوفِ. } أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – تقدم برقم (742).

    Narrated Jabir (RA): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) – in the Hadith of pilgrimage which is long – said in regard to women, “They (women) have rights over you (the men) to provide them with their sustenance and clothing in a reasonable manner.” [Muslim reported it].

    وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ كَفَى بِالْمَرْءِ إِثْمًا أَنْ يُضَيِّعَ مَنْ يَقُوتُ. } رَوَاهُ النَّسَائِيُّ. 1 . 1 – ضعيف بهذا اللفظ. رواه النسائي في “عشرة النساء” (294 و 295)، وأيضا أبو داود (1692) من طريق أبي إسحاق، عن وهب بن جابر، عن عبد الله بن عمرو، به. وفي رواية النسائي الأولى: “يعول” بدل: “يقوت”. قلت: ووهب هذا ليس له راو غير أبي إسحاق وقال النسائي: مجهول، وأبى ابن حبان إلا أن يدخله في “الثقات” (5 /489)، وأما الذهبي فنقل تجهيل ابن المديني له، ثم قال في “الميزان” (4 /350). “لا يكاد يعرف”.

    Narrated ‘Abdullah bin ‘Umar (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “It is enough for a person to be considered sinful, that he neglects those whom he is responsible to sustain.” [Reported by an-Nasa’i].

    وَهُوَ عِنْدَ مُسْلِمٍ بِلَفْظِ: “أَنْ يَحْبِسَ عَمَّنْ يَمْلِكُ قُوتَهُ” 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (996) من طريق خيثمة قال: كنا جلوسا مع عبد الله بن عمرو، إذ جاءه قهرمان له، فدخل. فقال: أعطيت الرقيق قوتهم؟ قال: لا. قال: فانطلق فأعطهم. قال: قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “كفى بالمرء إثما…” الحديث. قلت: هذا هو أصل الحديث، فمخالفة وهب لمثل خيثمة غير مقبولة، والله أعلم.

    Muslim has this wording: “…to withhold (food) from the one whose food he possesses.”

    وَعَنِ اِبْنِ مَسْعُودٍ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا رَضَاعَ إِلَّا مَا أَنْشَزَ اَلْعَظْمَ, وَأَنْبَتَ اَللَّحْمَ. } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. رواه أبو داود (2060) بسند فيه ثلاثة مجاهيل.

    Narrated Ibn Mas’ud (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “The only suckling (to be considered) is that which gives life to the bones and causes flesh to grow.” [Abu Dawud reported it].

    وَعَنْ عُثْمَانَ. عِنْدَ أَبِي دَاوُدَ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. رواه أبو داود (2275) وفي سنده رباح الكوفي وهو مجهول، وفي حديثه قصة طويلة.

    عَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا تُحَرِّمُ اَلْمَصَّةُ وَالْمَصَّتَانِ. } أَخْرَجَهُ مُسْلِمٌ. 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (1450)، ووقع في “أ”: “ولا المصتان”. بزيادة: “لا”.

    Narrated ‘Aishah (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “One or two sucks do not make (marriage) unlawful.” [Muslim reported it].

    وَعَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ اُنْظُرْنَ مَنْ إِخْوَانُكُنَّ, فَإِنَّمَا اَلرَّضَاعَةُ مِنْ اَلْمَجَاعَةِ. } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري (2647)، ومسلم (1455) من طريق مسروق، عن عائشة، قالت: دخل علي رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، وعندي رجل قاعد، فاشتد ذلك عليه، ورأيت الغضب في وجهه، فقال: يا عائشة من هذا؟ قلت: أخي من الرضاعة قال: “يا عائشة! انظرن…” الحديث. واللفظ للبخاري.

    Narrated [‘Aishah (RA)]: Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Be sure (you women) who your brothers are, for suckling is that which is the result of hunger (i.e. when milk is the child’s only food).” [Agreed upon].
