    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 34

    سُبْـحانَكَ اللّهُـمَّ رَبَّـنا وَبِحَـمْدِك ،
    اللّهُـمَّ اغْفِـرْ لي


    English Translation:

    Subḥānaka Allāhumma Rabbanā wa biḥamdika
    Allāhum-maghfir lī.

    Glory is to You , O Allah , our Lord , and praise is Yours .
    O Allah , forgive me.

    سُبـّوحٌ قُـدّْوس ، رَبُّ الملائِكَـةِ وَالـرُّوح


    English Translation:

    Subbūḥun, Quddūsun, Rabbul-malā’ikati warrūḥ.

    Glory (to You) , Most Holy (are You) ,
    Lord of the angels and the Spirit.

    اللّهُـمَّ لَكَ رَكَـعْتُ
    وَبِكَ آمَـنْت، ولَكَ أَسْلَـمْت ،
    خَشَـعَ لَكَ سَمْـعي، وَبَصَـري ،
    وَمُخِّـي، وَعَظْمـي، وَعَصَـبي ،
    وَما استَقَـلَّ بِهِ قَدَمي


    English Translation:

    Allāhumma laka raka`tu,
    wa bika ‘āmantu, wa laka ‘aslamtu
    khasha`a laka sam`ee wa baṣarī,
    wa mukhkhī, wa `aẓmī, wa `aṣabī,
    wa mastaqalla bihi qadamī.

    O Allah , to You I bow (in prayer)
    and in You I believe and to You I have submitted.
    Before You my hearing is humbled, and my sight,
    and my mind, my bones, my nerves
    and what my feet have mounted upon (for travel).

  • Chapter: Upon leaving the mosque

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 21

    بِسمِ الله وَالصّلاةُ وَالسّلامُ عَلى رَسولِ الله،
    اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَسْأَلُكَ مِـنْ فَضْـلِك،
    اللّهُـمَّ اعصِمْنـي مِنَ الشَّيْـطانِ الرَّجـيم


    English Translation:

    Bismillāhi waṣṣalātu wassalāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāhi,
    Allāhumma ‘innī ‘as’aluka min faḍlika,
    Allāhumma`ṣimnī min ash-shaytānir-rajīm.

    In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
    O Allah, I ask for Your favor,
    O Allah, protect me from Satan the outcast.

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 37

    سُبْـحانَ ذي الْجَبَـروت، والمَلَـكوت، وَالكِبْـرِياء، وَالْعَظَـمَةِ


    English Translation:

    Subḥāna dhil-jabarūti, walmalakūti, walkibriyā’i, wal`aẓamati.

    Glory is to You, Master of power, of dominion, of majesty and greatness.

    (Hasan).

  • Chapter: Concerning the athan (the call to prayer)

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 22

    يقول مثل ما يقول المؤذن إلا في (حي على الصلاة ، وحي على الفلاح) فيقول
    لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله.


    English Translation:

    Repeat what the Mu’adh-dhin says, except for when he says:
    Hayya ‘alas-Salāh (hasten to the prayer) and Hayya ‘alal-Falāh (hasten to salvation). Here you should say:
    Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata ‘illā billāh.

    There is no might and no power except by Allah.

  • Chapter: Upon rising from the bowing position

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 38

    سَمِـعَ اللهُ لِمَـنْ حَمِـدَه


    English Translation:

    Sami`allāhu liman ḥamidah.

    Allah hears whoever praises Him.

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 23

    وَأَنا أَشْـهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ اللهُ
    وَحْـدَهُ لا شَـريكَ لَـه ،
    وَأَنَّ محَمّـداً عَبْـدُهُ وَرَسـولُه،
    رَضيـتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّاً ،
    وَبِمُحَمَّـدٍ رَسـولاً
    وَبِالإِسْلامِ دينَـاً


    English Translation:

    Wa ‘anā ‘ash-hadu ‘an lā ‘ilāha ‘illallāhu
    waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu
    wa ‘anna Muḥammadan ‘abduhu wa rasūluhu,
    raḍītu billāhi rabban,
    wa bi Muḥammadin rasūlan
    wa bi ‘l-islāmi dīnan.

    I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah
    alone, Who has no partner,
    and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.
    I am pleased with Allah as my Lord,
    with Muhammad as my Messenger
    and with Islam as my religion.1

  • Chapter: Upon rising from the bowing position

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 39

    رَبَّنـا وَلَكَ الحَمْـدُ
    حَمْـداً كَثـيراً طَيِّـباً مُـبارَكاً فيه


    English Translation:

    Rabbanā wa lakal-ḥamd,
    ḥamdan kathīran ṭayyiban mubārakan fīh.

    Our Lord, praise is Yours,
    abundant, good and blessed praise.

  • Chapter: Concerning the athan (the call to prayer)

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 24

    يُصَلِّي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ فَرَاغِهِ مِنْ إِجَابَةِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ


    English Translation:

    After replying to the call of Mu’adh-dhin. you should recite in Arabic Allah’s blessings on the Prophet (ﷺ).
