باب مَا جَاءَ فِي فَضْلِ الصِّيَامِ
Chapter: What was narrated concerning the virtues of fasting
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الزُّهْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُبَيْدِ بْنِ نِسْطَاسٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ عَائِشَةَ، قَالَتْ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ إِذَا دَخَلَتِ الْعَشْرُ أَحْيَا اللَّيْلَ وَشَدَّ الْمِئْزَرَ وَأَيْقَظَ أَهْلَهُ .
It was
narrated that ‘Aishah said: “When the last ten days of Ramadan
began, the Prophet (ﷺ) used to stay up at night, tighten his
waist-
wrap, and wake up his family (to pray).”
