باب فَضْلِ الْجِهَادِ فِي سَبِيلِ اللَّهِ
Chapter: The virtue of Jihad in the cause of Allah
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مُعَاوِيَةَ، عَنِ الأَعْمَشِ، عَنْ أَبِي سُفْيَانَ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، قَالَ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم “ إِنَّ بِالْمَدِينَةِ رِجَالاً مَا قَطَعْتُمْ وَادِيًا وَلاَ سَلَكْتُمْ طَرِيقًا إِلاَّ شَرِكُوكُمْ فِي الأَجْرِ حَبَسَهُمُ الْعُذْرُ ” . قَالَ أَبُو عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَاجَهْ أَوْ كَمَا قَالَ كَتَبْتُهُ لَفْظًا .
It was
narrated from Jabir that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “in
Al-Madinah there are men who, every time you crossed a valley or
travelled a road, they shared with you in the reward. They were kept
behind by (legitimate) excuses.”
