Chapter: The opening of the Prayer

حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الصَّبَّاحِ، حَدَّثَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، أَنْبَأَنَا الْعَلاَءُ أَبُو مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ أَنَسَ بْنَ مَالِكٍ، يَقُولُ قَالَ لِي النَّبِيُّ ـ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ ‏ “‏ إِذَا رَفَعْتَ رَأْسَكَ مِنَ السُّجُودِ فَلاَ تُقْعِ كَمَا يُقْعِي الْكَلْبُ ضَعْ أَلْيَتَيْكَ بَيْنَ قَدَمَيْكَ، وَأَلْزِقْ ظَاهِرَ قَدَمَيْكَ بِالأَرْضِ ‏” ‏ ‏.‏

It was
narrated that Anas bin Malik said: “The Prophet (ﷺ) said to me:
‘When you raise your head from prostration, do not squat like a
dog. Put your buttocks between your feet and let the tops of your
feet touch the ground.”
