    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 55

    اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر،
    وَمِـنْ عَذابِ جَهَـنَّم،
    وَمِـنْ فِتْـنَةِ المَحْـيا وَالمَمـات،
    وَمِـنْ شَـرِّ فِتْـنَةِ المَسيحِ الدَّجّال


    English Translation:

    Allāhumma ‘innī ‘a`ūdhu bika min `adhābi ‘l-qabri,
    wa min `adhābi jahannam,
    wa min fitnati ‘l-maḥyā wa ‘l-mamāti,
    wa min sharri fitnati ‘l-masīḥid-dajjāl.

    O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave, and from the punishment of Hell-fire, and from the trials of life and death, and
    from the evil of the trial of the False Messiah.

    اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ عَذابِ القَـبْر ،
    وَأَعـوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ فِتْـنَةِ المَسيحِ الدَّجّـال ،
    أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِـنْ فِتْـنَةِ المَحْـيا وَالمَمـات .
    اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعـوذُ بِكَ مِنَ المَأْثَـمِ وَالمَغْـرَم


    English Translation:

    Allāhumma ‘innī ‘a`ūdhu bika min `adhābi ‘l-qabr,
    wa ‘a`ūdhu bika min fitnati ‘l-masīḥid-dajjāl,
    wa ‘a`ūdhu bika min fitnati ‘l-maḥyā wa ‘l-mamāt.
    Allāhumma ‘innī ‘a`ūdhu bika mina ‘l-m’athami wa ‘l-maghram.

    O Allah, I seek refuge in You from the punishment of the grave,
    and I seek refuge in You from the trial of the False Messiah,
    and I seek refuge in You from the trials of life and death.
    O Allah, I seek refuge in You from sin and from debt.

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 57

    اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي ظَلَـمْتُ نَفْسـي ظُلْمـاً كَثـيراً
    وَلا يَغْـفِرُ الذُّنـوبَ إِلاّ أَنْت،
    فَاغْـفِر لي مَغْـفِرَةً مِنْ عِنْـدِك وَارْحَمْـني،
    إِنَّكَ أَنْتَ الغَـفورُ الرَّحـيم


    English Translation:

    Allāhumma ‘innī ẓalamtu nafsī ẓulman kathīran,
    wa lā yaghfiru-dhdhunūba illā ‘anta,
    faghfir lī maghfiratam’min `indika warḥamnī
    innaka ‘anta ‘l-Ghafūr ur-Rahīm.

    O Allah, I have greatly wronged myself,
    and no one forgives sins but You.
    So, grant me forgiveness and have mercy on me.
    Surely, you are Forgiving, Merciful.

    اللّهُـمَّ اغْـفِرْ لي ما قَدَّمْـتُ وَما أَخَّرْت ،
    وَما أَسْـرَرْتُ وَما أَعْلَـنْت ،
    وَما أَسْـرَفْت ، وَما أَنْتَ أَعْـلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي .
    أَنْتَ المُقَـدِّمُ، وَأَنْتَ المُـؤَخِّـرُ
    لا إِلهَ إِلاّ أَنْـت


    English Translation:

    Allāhummagh’fir lī mā qaddamtu, wa mā ‘akhkhartu,
    wa mā ‘asrartu, wa mā ‘a`lantu,
    wa mā ‘asraftu, wa mā ‘anta ‘a`lamu bihi minnī.
    ‘anta ‘l-Muqaddimu, wa ‘anta ‘l-Mu‘akhkhiru
    lā ‘ilāha ‘illā ‘anta.

    O Allah, forgive me what I have sent before me and what I have left behind me,
    what I have concealed and what I have done openly,
    what I have done in excess, and what You are better aware of than I.
    You are the One Who sends forth and You are the One Who delays.
    There is none worthy of worship but You.

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 59

    اللّهُـمَّ أَعِـنِّي عَلـى ذِكْـرِكَ وَشُكْـرِك ،
    وَحُسْـنِ عِبـادَتِـك


    English Translation:

    Allāhumma ‘a`innī `alā dhikrika, wa shukrika,
    wa ḥusni `ibādatik.

    O Allah, help me to remember You, to give You thanks,
    and to perform Your worship in the best manner.

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 60

    اللّهُـمَّ إِنِّـي أَعوذُ بِكَ مِنَ البُخْـل،
    وَأَعوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الجُـبْن،
    وَأَعوذُ بِكَ مِنْ أَنْ أُرَدَّ إِلى أَرْذَلِ الـعُمُر،
    وَأََعوذُ بِكَ مِنْ فِتْنَـةِ الدُّنْـيا وَعَـذابِ القَـبْر


    English Translation:

    Allāhumma ‘innī ‘a`udhu bika mina ‘l-bukhl,
    wa ‘a`udhu bika mina ‘l-jubn,
    wa ‘a`udhu bika min ‘an ‘uradda ilā ‘ardhali ‘l-`umur,
    wa ‘a`udhu bika min fitnatid-dunyā wa `adhābi ‘l-qabr.

    O Allah, I seek Your protection from miserliness,
    I seek Your protection from cowardice,
    and I seek Your protection from being returned to feeble old age.
    I seek Your protection from the trials of this world and from the torment of the grave.

    بِسمِ الله وَالصّلاةُ وَالسّلامُ عَلى رَسولِ الله،
    اللّهُـمَّ إِنّـي أَسْأَلُكَ مِـنْ فَضْـلِك،
    اللّهُـمَّ اعصِمْنـي مِنَ الشَّيْـطانِ الرَّجـيم


    English Translation:

    Bismillāhi waṣṣalātu wassalāmu ‘alā Rasūlillāhi,
    Allāhumma ‘innī ‘as’aluka min faḍlika,
    Allāhumma`ṣimnī min ash-shaytānir-rajīm.

    In the Name of Allah, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah.
    O Allah, I ask for Your favor,
    O Allah, protect me from Satan the outcast.

  • Chapter: Concerning the athan (the call to prayer)

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 22

    يقول مثل ما يقول المؤذن إلا في (حي على الصلاة ، وحي على الفلاح) فيقول
    لا حول ولا قوة إلا بالله.


    English Translation:

    Repeat what the Mu’adh-dhin says, except for when he says:
    Hayya ‘alas-Salāh (hasten to the prayer) and Hayya ‘alal-Falāh (hasten to salvation). Here you should say:
    Lā ḥawla wa lā quwwata ‘illā billāh.

    There is no might and no power except by Allah.

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 23

    وَأَنا أَشْـهَدُ أَنْ لا إِلـهَ إِلاّ اللهُ
    وَحْـدَهُ لا شَـريكَ لَـه ،
    وَأَنَّ محَمّـداً عَبْـدُهُ وَرَسـولُه،
    رَضيـتُ بِاللهِ رَبَّاً ،
    وَبِمُحَمَّـدٍ رَسـولاً
    وَبِالإِسْلامِ دينَـاً


    English Translation:

    Wa ‘anā ‘ash-hadu ‘an lā ‘ilāha ‘illallāhu
    waḥdahu lā sharīka lahu
    wa ‘anna Muḥammadan ‘abduhu wa rasūluhu,
    raḍītu billāhi rabban,
    wa bi Muḥammadin rasūlan
    wa bi ‘l-islāmi dīnan.

    I bear witness that none has the right to be worshipped but Allah
    alone, Who has no partner,
    and that Muhammad is His slave and His Messenger.
    I am pleased with Allah as my Lord,
    with Muhammad as my Messenger
    and with Islam as my religion.1

  • Chapter: Concerning the athan (the call to prayer)

    Status Reference : Hisn al-Muslim 24

    يُصَلِّي عَلَى النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم بَعْدَ فَرَاغِهِ مِنْ إِجَابَةِ الْمُؤَذِّنِ


    English Translation:

    After replying to the call of Mu’adh-dhin. you should recite in Arabic Allah’s blessings on the Prophet (ﷺ).
