عَنْ أَبِي بُرْدَةَ اَلْأَ نْصَارِيِّ – رضى الله عنه – أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -يَقُولُ: { ” لَا يُجْلَدُ فَوْقَ عَشَرَةِ أَسْوَاطٍ, إِلَّا فِي حَدِّ مِنْ حُدُودِ اَللَّهِ” } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 175 – 176 / فتح )، ومسلم ( 1708 ).

Abu Burdah Al-Ansari (RAA) narrated that he heard the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) say, “No more than ten lashes are to be given except when inflicting one of the Hudud (prescribed punishments) of Allah.” Agreed upon.
