    عَنِ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ – رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ أَبْغَضُ اَلْحَلَالِ عِنْدَ اَللَّهِ اَلطَّلَاقُ } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُدَ , وَابْنُ مَاجَهْ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ , وَرَجَّحَ أَبُو حَاتِمٍ إِرْسَالَهُ 1 . 1 – ضعيف . رواه أبو داود ( 2177 و 2178 ) ، وابن ماجه ( 2018 ) ، والحاكم ( 2 / 169 ) موصولا ومرسلا . وانظر ” العلل ” لابن أبي حاتم ( 1 / 431 ).

    Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “The lawful thing which Allah hates most is divorce.” [Reported by Abu Dawud and Ibn Majah, al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic), while Abu Hatim held the stronger view is that it is Mursal (missing link after the Tabi’i)].

    وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ – رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا { أَنَّهُ طَلَّقَ اِمْرَأَتَهُ – وَهِيَ حَائِضٌ – فِي عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَسَأَلَ عُمَرُ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -عَنْ ذَلِكَ ? فَقَالَ : ” مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا , ثُمَّ لْيُمْسِكْهَا حَتَّى تَطْهُرَ , ثُمَّ تَحِيضَ , ثُمَّ تَطْهُرَ , ثُمَّ إِنْ شَاءَ أَمْسَكَ بَعْدُ , وَإِنْ شَاءَ طَلَّقَ بَعْدَ أَنْ يَمَسَّ , فَتِلْكَ اَلْعِدَّةُ اَلَّتِي أَمَرَ اَللَّهُ أَنْ تُطَلَّقَ لَهَا اَلنِّسَاءُ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه البخاري (5251) ، ومسلم ( 1471) (1).

    Narrated Ibn ‘Umar (RA): In the time of Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), he divorced his wife while she was menstruating, so ‘Umar asked Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) about that and he replied, “Command him to take her back and keep her till she is purified (from menses), has another period, and is then purified. If he then wishes he may keep her and if he wishes he may divorce her before having intercourse with her. That is the ‘Iddah (period of waiting) which Allah commanded for the divorce of women.” [Agreed upon].

    وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِمُسْلِمٍ : { مُرْهُ فَلْيُرَاجِعْهَا, ثُمَّ لْيُطَلِّقْهَا طَاهِرًا أَوْ حَامِلًا } 1 . 1 – صحيح . وهذه الرواية في مسلم برقم (1471) (5).

    A narration by Muslim has: “Command him to take her back, then divorce her when she is pure from the menstrual discharge, or pregnant.”

    وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى لِلْبُخَارِيِّ : { وَحُسِبَتْ عَلَيْهِ تَطْلِيقَةً } 1 . 1 – صحيح . وهي في البخاري برقم (5253) ، ولفظه عن ابن عمر قال : حسبت علي بتطليقة.

    Another narration by al-Bukhari has: “It was regarded as one divorce.”

    وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لِمُسْلِمٍ : قَالَ اِبْنُ عُمَرَ : { أَمَّا أَنْتَ طَلَّقْتَهَا وَاحِدَةً أَوْ اِثْنَتَيْنِ ; فَإِنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَمَرَنِي أَنْ أُرَاجِعَهَا , ثُمَّ أُمْهِلَهَا حَتَّى تَحِيضَ حَيْضَةً أُخْرَى , وَأَمَّا أَنْتَ طَلَّقْتَهَا ثَلَاثًا , فَقَدْ عَصَيْتَ رَبَّكَ فِيمَا أَمَرَكَ مِنْ طَلَاقِ اِمْرَأَتِكَ } 1 . 1 – صحيح . وهي في مسلم برقم (1471) (3) ولفظه : ” . . . فكان ابن عمر إذا سئل عن الرجل يطلق امرأته وهي حائض ؟ يقول : أما أنت طلقتها واحدة أو اثنتين . إن رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- أمره أن يرجعها . ثم يمهلها حتى تحيض حيضة أخرى . ثم يمهلها حتى تطهر . ثم يطلقها قبل أن يمسها . وأما أنت طلقتها ثلاثا . فقد عصيت ربك فيما أمرك به من طلاق امرأتك . وبانت منك.

    A narration of Muslim has: “Ibn ‘Umar (RA) said: ‘If you had only made one or two pronouncements of divorce [it would have been better]. Indeed Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) commanded me to take her back, then keep her till she has another period, then give her a reprieve till she is purified, then divorce her before having intercourse with her. As for you, you have divorced her with three pronouncements (at once), and have therefore disobeyed your Rabb (your Lord, the Creator) concerning what He commanded you regarding divorcing your wife.’”

    وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ أُخْرَى : قَالَ عَبْدُ اَللَّهِ بْنُ عُمَرَ : { فَرَدَّهَا عَلَيَّ , وَلَمْ يَرَهَا شَيْئًا , وَقَالَ : ” إِذَا طَهُرَتْ فَلْيُطَلِّقْ أَوْ لِيُمْسِكْ } 1 . 1 – صحيح . وهي عند مسلم برقم ( 1471) (14) . إلا أن قوله : “ولم يرها شيئا” ليست في ” الصحيح ” وإنما هي عند أبي داود ( 2185 ) من نفس الطريق ، ولكن أعله أبو داود بأبي الزبير ، وهو إعلال مردود ؛ إذ أبو الزبير في نفسه ” ثقة ” ولا يخشى إلا من تدليسه ، وهو منتف هنا.

    Another narration [of Muslim] has: “Abdullah bin ‘Umar (RA) said: ‘So he returned her to me and did not regarded it as anything, and said: When she is purified, either divorce her or keep her.’”

    وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ – رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- قَالَ : { كَانَ اَلطَّلَاقُ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -وَأَبِي بَكْرٍ , وَسَنَتَيْنِ مِنْ خِلَافَةِ عُمَرَ , طَلَاقُ اَلثَّلَاثِ وَاحِدَةٌ , فَقَالَ عُمَرُ بْنُ اَلْخَطَّابِ : إِنَّ اَلنَّاسَ قَدْ اِسْتَعْجَلُوا فِي أَمْرٍ كَانَتْ لَهُمْ فِيهِ أَنَاةٌ , فَلَوْ أَمْضَيْنَاهُ عَلَيْهِمْ ? فَأَمْضَاهُ عَلَيْهِمْ } . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه مسلم ( 1472 ).

    Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (RA): In the time of Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم), Abu Bakr (RA) and the first two years of the caliphate of ‘Umar (RA), the three pronouncements of divorce were regarded as one divorce. So ‘Umar said, “People have made haste in an affair which they are required to take slowly. What if we execute it on them.” So, he executed it on them. [Reported by Muslim].

    وَلِمُسْلِمٍ : عَنْ عَائِشَةَ -رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا- قَالَتْ : { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -إِذَا صَلَّى اَلْعَصْرَ دَارَ عَلَى نِسَائِهِ , ثُمَّ يَدْنُو مِنْهُنَّ } اَلْحَدِيث َ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه مسلم ( 1474 ) ( 21 ) ، وهو أيضا عند البخاري في مواطن منها ( 5268 ) ، ولكن اللفظ لمسلم . فعلى عادة المصنف كان حقه – رحمه الله – أن يقول : متفق عليه واللفظ لمسلم.

    Muslim reported ‘Aishah (RA) as saying: “When Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) offered the ‘Asr (afternoon) prayer, he would visit his wives in turn, then come close to them (kiss or hug them).” [The narrator reported the rest of the Hadith previous].

    وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ -رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا- { أَنَّ رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -كَانَ يَسْأَلُ فِي مَرَضِهِ اَلَّذِي مَاتَ فِيهِ : ” أَيْنَ أَنَا غَدًا ? ” , يُرِيدُ : يَوْمَ عَائِشَةَ , فَأَذِنَ لَهُ أَزْوَاجُهُ يَكُونُ حَيْثُ شَاءَ , فَكَانَ فِي بَيْتِ عَائِشَةَ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه البخاري ( 5217 ) ، ومسلم ( 2443 ) واللفظ للبخاري ، وتمامه عنده : ” حتى مات عندها . قالت عائشة : فمات في اليوم الذي كان يدور علي فيه في بيتي ، فقبضه الله ، وإن رأسه لبين نحري وسحري ، وخالط ريقه ريقي “.

    Narrated ‘Aishah (RA): During the illness of which Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) died, he was asking, “Where shall I be tomorrow?” He desired that it would be ‘Aishah’s day. His wives therefore permitted him to stay where he wished, and he stayed in ‘Aishah’s house. [Agreed upon].

    وَعَنْهَا قَالَتْ : { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -إِذَا أَرَادَ سَفَرًا أَقْرَعَ بَيْنَ نِسَائِهِ , فَأَيَّتُهُنَّ خَرَجَ سَهْمُهَا , خَرَجَ بِهَا } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه البخاري (2593) ، ومسلم ( 2770 ) وهو طرف من حديث الإفك.

    Narrated [‘Aishah (RA)]: When Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) intended to go on a journey, he cast lots among his wives. Then, he would take with him the one who was chosen by the lot. [Agreed upon].
