    وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ زَمْعَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ : قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا يَجْلِدُ أَحَدُكُمْ اِمْرَأَتَهُ جَلْدَ اَلْعَبْدِ } رَوَاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيّ ُ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه البخاري (5204) ، وتمامه : ” ثم يجامعها في آخر اليوم ” . قلت : وهو في البخاري ومسلم أيضا بلفظ آخر.

    Narrated ‘Abdullah bin Zam’ah (RA): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “None of you should whip his wife like the whipping of a slave.” [Reported by al-Bukhari].

    عَنْ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ – رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا- { أَنَّ اِمْرَأَةَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ أَتَتْ اَلنَّبِيَّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَقَالَتْ : يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ ! ثَابِتُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ مَا أَعِيبُ عَلَيْهِ فِي خُلُقٍ وَلَا دِينٍ , وَلَكِنِّي أَكْرَهُ اَلْكُفْرَ فِي اَلْإِسْلَامِ , قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -” أَتَرُدِّينَ عَلَيْهِ حَدِيقَتَهُ ? ” , قَالَتْ : نَعَمْ . قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -” اِقْبَلِ اَلْحَدِيقَةَ , وَطَلِّقْهَا تَطْلِيقَةً } رَوَاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ .

    Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (RA): The wife of Thabit bin Qais came to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and said, “O Allah’s Messenger, I do not find fault with Thabit bin Qais (RA) in respect of character or religion, but I dislike (and fear) that I might commit an act of Kufr fil-Islam (that which is contradictory to Islamic behavior).” Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) asked her, “Will you give him back his garden?” And she replied, “Yes,” so Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said to him, “Accept the garden and divorce her, with one pronouncement (of divorce).” [Reported by al-Bukhari].

    وَفِي رِوَايَةٍ لَهُ : { وَأَمَرَهُ بِطَلَاقِهَا } 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه البخاري ( 9 / 395 / فتح ).

    Another narration by him has: “He commanded him to divorce her.”

    وَلِأَبِي دَاوُدَ , وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيِّ وَحَسَّنَهُ : { أَنَّ اِمْرَأَةَ ثَابِتِ بْنِ قَيْسٍ اِخْتَلَعَتْ مِنْهُ , فَجَعَلَ اَلنَّبِيُّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -عِدَّتَهَا حَيْضَةً } 1 . 1 – حسن . رواه أبو داود ( 2229 ) ، والترمذي ( 1185 ) ، وقال الترمذي : ” هذا حديث حسن غريب “.

    Abu Dawud and at-Tirmidhi reported this Hadith and the later graded it Hasan (good): “The wife of Thabit bin Qais got a divorce from him in return for a compensation (paid by her), and the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) made her ‘Iddah (period of waiting before re-marrying) one menstruation course.”

    وَفِي رِوَايَةِ عَمْرِوِ بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ , عَنْ أَبِيهِ , عَنْ جَدِّهِ عِنْدَ اِبْنِ مَاجَهْ : { أَنَّ ثَابِتَ بْنَ قَيْسٍ كَانَ دَمِيمً ا 1 وَأَنَّ اِمْرَأَتَهُ قَالَتْ : لَوْلَا مَخَافَةُ اَللَّهِ إِذَا دَخَلَ عَلَيَّ لَبَسَقْتُ فِي وَجْهِهِ } 2 . 1 – دميما: قبيح الوجه. 2 – ضعيف . رواه ابن ماجه ( 2507 ) ، وفي سنده الحجاج بن أرطأة، وهو مدلس وقد عنعن.

    Ibn Majah reported the narration of ‘Amr bin Shu’aib, on this father’s authority, from his grandfather: “Thabit bin Qais was very unattractive and his wife said, ‘Were it not for the fear of Allah, when he entered my presence I would spit in his face.’”

    وَلِأَحْمَدَ : مِنْ حَدِيثِ سَهْلِ بْنِ أَبِي حَثْمَةَ : { وَكَانَ ذَلِكَ أَوَّلَ خُلْعٍ فِي اَلْإِسْلَامِ } 1 . 1 – ضعيف . رواه أحمد ( 4 / 3 ) وعلته كعلة سابقه.

    Ahmad reported from Sahl bin Abu Hathma’s Hadith that it was the first ever husband and wife separation for compensation in Islam.

    وَعَنْ عُرْوَةَ قَالَ : { قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ : يَا اِبْنَ أُخْتِي ! كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -لَا يُفَضِّلُ بَعْضَنَا عَلَى بَعْضٍ فِي اَلْقَسْمِ مِنْ مُكْثِهِ عِنْدَنَا , وَكَانَ قَلَّ يَوْمٌ إِلَّا وَهُوَ يَطُوفُ عَلَيْنَا جَمِيعًا , فَيَدْنُو مِنْ كُلِّ اِمْرَأَةٍ مِنْ غَيْرِ مَسِيسٍ , حَتَّى يَبْلُغَ اَلَّتِي هُوَ يَوْمُهَا , فَيَبِيتَ عِنْدَهَا } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ , وَأَبُو دَاوُدَ وَاللَّفْظُ لَهُ , وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِم ُ 1 . 1 – حسن . رواه أحمد ( 6 / 107 – 108 ) ، وأبو داود ( 2135 ) ، والحاكم ( 2 / 186 ) وتمامه كما عند أبي داود : ” ولقد قالت سودة بنت زمعة حين أسنت ، وفرقت أن يفارقها رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- : يا رسول الله ! يومي لعائشة ، فقبل ذلك رسول الله -صلى الله عليه وسلم- منها . قالت : نقول في ذلك : أنزل الله تعالى فيها وفي أشباهها – أراه قال : – ” وإن امرأة خافت من بعلها نشوزا ” . قلت : وقوله : ” من غير مسيس ” ، أي : من غير جماع ، كما جاء في بعض الروايات : ” بغير وقاع ” ، وإلا فاللمس والتقبيل لا شيء فيهما ، وعلى ذلك أيضا تدل رواية أحمد ، ففيها : ” فيدنو ويلمس من غير مسيس “.

    Narrated ‘Urwah (RA): ‘Aishah (RA) said: “O my nephew, Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) would not prefer some of us over others regarding the division of the time he would spend with us. It was very rare that he would not visit us all, and come near each of his wives without having intercourse with her, till he reached the one whose day it was, and spent the night with her.” [Reported by Ahmad and Abu Dawud, the wording is Abu Dawud’s. al-Hakim graded it Sahih (authentic)].

    وَعَنْ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ ; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -أُتِيَ بِقَصْعَةٍ مِنْ ثَرِيدٍ، فَقَالَ : “كُلُوا مِنْ جَوَانِبِهَا, وَلَا تَأْكُلُوا مِنْ وَسَطِهَا, فَإِنَّ اَلْبَرَكَةَ تَنْزِلُ فِي وَسَطِهَا } رَوَاهُ اَلْأَرْبَعَةُ , وَهَذَا لَفْظُ النَّسَائِيِّ , وَسَنَدُهُ صَحِيحٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه أبو داود (3772) ، والنسائي في ” الكبرى ” (475) ، والترمذي (1805) ، وابن ماجه (3277) من طرق عن عطاء بن السائب ، عن سعيد بن جبير ، عن ابن عباس ، به . وهو عند النسائي ، وأبي داود ، من رواية شعبة ، عن عطاء ، وهو ممن روى عنه قبل الاختلاط ، ولذلك قال الحافظ : ” سنده صحيح “.

    Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (RA): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was brought a dish containing Tharid and said, “Eat from its side and not from the middle, for the blessing descends in the middle of it.” [Reported by al-Arba’a. This is the wording of an-Nasa’i. Its chain of narrators is Sahih (authentic)].

    وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ : { مَا عَابَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -طَعَامًا قَطُّ , كَانَ إِذَا اِشْتَهَى شَيْئًا أَكَلَهُ , وَإِنْ كَرِهَهُ تَرَكَهُ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه البخاري (5409) ، ومسلم ( 2064) ، واللفظ لمسلم.

    Abu Huraira reported that Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) never found fault with food (served to him). If he liked anything, he ate it and if he did not like it he left it. [Agreed upon]

    وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ , عَنْ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ : { لَا تَأْكُلُوا بِالشِّمَالِ ; فَإِنَّ اَلشَّيْطَانَ يَأْكُلُ بِالشِّمَالِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح . رواه مسلم (2019) من طريق الليث ، عن أبي الزبير ، عن جابر ، به . أقول : وجدير بالذكر أن رواية أبي الزبير ، عن جابر صحيحة إذا كانت من طريق الليث ، إذ قال رحمه الله : ” قدمت مكة فجئت أبا الزبير ، فدفع إلي كتابين ، وانقلبت بهما ، ثم قلت في نفسي : لو عاودته فسألته : أسمع هذا كله من جابر ؟ فقال : منه ما سمعت ، ومنه ما حدثناه عنه ، فقلت له : أعلم لي على ما سمعت فأعلم لي على هذا الذي عندي “.

    Narrated Jabir (RA): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Do not eat with the left hand, for the devil eats with the left hand.” [Reported by Muslim].
