Mishkat al-Masabih 29 Excellent Qualities and Description of the Prophet كتاب الفضائل والشمائل 30

وَعَنْ جَابِرٌ أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قا ل: «إِنَّ اللَّهَ بَعَثَنِي لِتَمَامِ مَكَارِمِ الْأَخْلَاقِ وَكَمَالِ محَاسِن الْأَفْعَال» . رَوَاهُ فِي شرح السّنة

Jabir reported the Prophet as saying, “God has sent me to perfect good qualities of character and to complete good deeds.” It is transmitted in Sharh as-sunna .
