What is the Islamic perspective on the fate of children of non-believers?

Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) was asked about the children of (Mushrikeen) pagans. The Prophet (ﷺ) replied,
“Since Allah created them, He knows what sort of deeds they would have done.”
“Since Allah created them, He knows what sort of deeds they would have done.”
