question #1 Sahih Muslim 1149b, Book 13, Hadith 204 : What is the significance of fasting for two months in Islamic teachings?

I was sitting with the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) ; the rest of the hadith is the same but with this variation that the (the narrator) said:” Fasts of two months.”
