question #2 Sahih al-Bukhari 3279, Book 59, Hadith 88 : How are afflictions and the appearance of Satan’s influence connected in Islamic belief?

I saw Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) pointing towards the east saying, “Lo! Afflictions will verily emerge hence;
afflictions will verily emerge hence where the (side of the head of) Satan appears.”
