Neither Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) nor his Companions (circumambulated the Ka’ba and) ran between al-Safa and al-Marwa but once (sufficing both for Hajj and ‘Umra). But in the hadith transmitted by Muhammad b. Bakr there is an addition:” That is first circumambulation.”
