باب مَا جَاءَ فِي فَاتِحَةِ الْكِتَابِ
What has been said about Fãtihat al-Kitab (i.e., the Opening of the Book)

حَدَّثَنِي إِسْحَاقُ، أَخْبَرَنَا رَوْحٌ، أَخْبَرَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ خَالِدٍ الْحَذَّاءِ، عَنْ مَرْوَانَ الأَصْفَرِ، عَنْ رَجُلٍ، مِنْ أَصْحَابِ رَسُولِ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ـ قَالَ أَحْسِبُهُ ابْنَ عُمَرَ ـ ‏ {‏إِنْ تُبْدُوا مَا فِي أَنْفُسِكُمْ أَوْ تُخْفُوهُ‏} ‏ قَالَ نَسَخَتْهَا الآيَةُ الَّتِي بَعْدَهَا‏.‏

Narrated Marwan Al-Asghar: A man from the companions of Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) who I think, was Ibn `Umar said, “The Verse:–
“Whether you show what is in your minds or conceal it….” was abrogated by the Verse following it.”
