Bab 11
باب فَرْضِ الْجُمُعَةِ لِقَوْلِ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى: {إِذَا نُودِيَ لِلصَّلاَةِ مِنْ يَوْمِ الْجُمُعَةِ فَاسْعَوْا إِلَى ذِكْرِ اللَّهِ وَذَرُوا الْبَيْعَ ذَلِكُمْ خَيْرٌ لَكُمْ إِنْ كُنْتُمْ تَعْلَمُونَ}.
Chapter: The prescription of Friday [Salat-ul-Jumu’ah (Jumu’ah prayer)] and Khutba (religious talk) according to the Statement of Allah تعالى: “When the call is proclaimed for the Salat (prayer) of Friday (Jumu’ah prayer) come to the remembrance of Allah [Jumu’ah religious talk (Khutba) and Salat (prayer)] and leave off business (and every other thing).” (V.62:9)
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللَّهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الزِّنَادِ، عَنِ الأَعْرَجِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَكَرَ يَوْمَ الْجُمُعَةِ فَقَالَ “ فِيهِ سَاعَةٌ لاَ يُوَافِقُهَا عَبْدٌ مُسْلِمٌ، وَهْوَ قَائِمٌ يُصَلِّي، يَسْأَلُ اللَّهَ تَعَالَى شَيْئًا إِلاَّ أَعْطَاهُ إِيَّاهُ ” . وَأَشَارَ بِيَدِهِ يُقَلِّلُهَا.
Narrated Abu Huraira: Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) (p.b.u.h) talked about Friday and said, “There is an hour (opportune time) on Friday
and if a Muslim gets it while praying and asks something from Allah, then Allah will definitely meet
his demand.” And he (the Prophet) pointed out the shortness of that time with his hands.
