باب اسْتِحْبَابِ النِّكَاحِ لِمَنْ تَاقَتْ نَفْسُهُ إِلَيْهِ وَوَجَدَ مُؤْنَةً وَاشْتِغَالِ مَنْ عَجَزَ عَنِ الْمُؤَنِ بِالصَّوْمِ
Chapter: Marriage is recommended for the one who desires it and can afford it, and the one who cannot afford it should distract himself by fasting
وَحَدَّثَنَا أَبُو بَكْرِ بْنُ أَبِي شَيْبَةَ، وَعَمْرٌو النَّاقِدُ، وَزُهَيْرُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، جَمِيعًا عَنِ ابْنِ، عُيَيْنَةَ – قَالَ زُهَيْرٌ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ بْنُ عُيَيْنَةَ، – عَنْ أَيُّوبَ بْنِ مُوسَى، عَنْ نُبَيْهِ بْنِ وَهْبٍ، عَنْ أَبَانِ بْنِ عُثْمَانَ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ، يَبْلُغُ بِهِ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ “ الْمُحْرِمُ لاَ يَنْكِحُ وَلاَ يَخْطُبُ ” .
‘Uthman (b. ‘Affan) reported it directly from Allah’s Apostle (ﷺ) that he said: A Muhrim should neithermarry (in that state) nor make the proposal of marriage.
