Bab 16
باب اسْتِحْبَابِ النِّكَاحِ لِمَنْ تَاقَتْ نَفْسُهُ إِلَيْهِ وَوَجَدَ مُؤْنَةً وَاشْتِغَالِ مَنْ عَجَزَ عَنِ الْمُؤَنِ بِالصَّوْمِ
Chapter: Marriage is recommended for the one who desires it and can afford it, and the one who cannot afford it should distract himself by fasting
وَحَدَّثَنَاهُ مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ الْمُثَنَّى، حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو دَاوُدَ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ رَافِعٍ، وَهَارُونُ، بْنُ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ قَالاَ حَدَّثَنَا وَهْبُ بْنُ جَرِيرٍ، ح وَحَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ خِرَاشٍ، حَدَّثَنَا شَبَابَةُ، كُلُّهُمْ عَنْ شُعْبَةَ، عَنْ حُمَيْدٍ، بِهَذَا الإِسْنَادِ غَيْرَ أَنَّ فِي، حَدِيثِ وَهْبٍ قَالَ قَالَ عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ تَزَوَّجْتُ امْرَأَةً .
This hadith has been narrated on the authority of Humaid with the same chain of transmitters except (with this minor alteration of words) that ‘Abd al-Rahman said: ” I married a woman.”
