Chapter: How Jibril Led The Prayer And The Definition Of The Times Of The Five Daily Prayers

أَخْبَرَنَا قُتَيْبَةُ بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ نَافِعٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ ‏ “‏ لاَ يَتَحَرَّ أَحَدُكُمْ فَيُصَلِّيَ عِنْدَ طُلُوعِ الشَّمْسِ وَعِنْدَ غُرُوبِهَا ‏” ‏ ‏.‏

It was narrated from Ibn ‘Umar that the Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) said: “No one of you should deliberately try to pray when the sun is rising, or when it is setting.”
