    زَادَ أَبُو دَاوُدَ, عَنْ مُعَاذٍ: { وَالْمَوَارِدَ } 1 . 1 – ضعيف. أي بلفظ: “والموارد” وباقيه صحيح. رواه أبو داود (26) ولفظه: “اتقوا الملاعن الثلاث: البراز في الموارد، وقارعة الطريق، والظل”.

    Narrated Mu’adh (rad): He said: “Guard against the three things which cause curse (i.e.) defecating at the watering places, on the roadbeds and in the shades.” [Reported by Abu Dawud]

    وَلِأَحْمَدَ; عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ: { أَوْ نَقْعِ مَاءٍ } وَفِيهِمَا ضَعْف ٌ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. رواه أحمد (2715).

    Ahmad reported from Ibn Abbas (rad) that defecation is prohibited also at the place where water collects. [And both the two (i.e. the previous and this Hadiths) have weakness].

    وَأَخْرَجَ اَلطَّبَرَانِيُّ اَلنَّهْيَ عَن ْ 1 تَحْتِ اَلْأَشْجَارِ اَلْمُثْمِرَةِ, وَضَفَّةِ اَلنَّهْرِ الْجَارِي. مِنْ حَدِيثِ اِبْنِ عُمَرَ بِسَنَدٍ ضَعِيف ٍ 2 . 1 – أي: التخلي. 2 – منكر. رواه الطبراني بتمامه في “الأوسط” كما في مجمع البحرين (349)، وفي “الكبير” الشطر الأخير منه كما في “مجمع الزوائد” (104).

    At-Tabarani also narrated on the authority of Ibn ‘Umar (with a weak chain of narrators), the prohibition of relieving oneself under fruit trees and beside the bank of a flowing river.

    وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِذَا تَغَوَّطَ اَلرَّجُلَانِ فَلْيَتَوَارَ كُلُّ وَاحِدٍ مِنْهُمَا عَنْ صَاحِبِهِ, وَلَا يَتَحَدَّثَا. فَإِنَّ اَللَّهَ يَمْقُتُ عَلَى ذَلِكَ } رَوَاهُ . 1 وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ اَلسَّكَنِ, وَابْنُ اَلْقَطَّانِ, وَهُوَ مَعْلُول ٌ 2 . 1 – كذا بالأصل دون ذكر من أخرجه، ولم أجده من حديث جابر، وهو عند أحمد وأبي داود من حديث أبي سعيد. 2 – ضعيف. وانظر الأصل.

    Narrated Jabir (rad): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “When two people go together to relieve themselves they should disappear from each other and do not talk, for Allah detests that”. [Reported by Ahmad; Ibn As-Sakan and Ibn Al-Qattan graded it Sahih (sound) but it is defective].

    وَعَنْ أَبِي قَتَادَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ لَا يُمْسِكَنَّ أَحَدُكُمْ ذَكَرَهُ بِيَمِينِهِ, وَهُوَ يَبُولُ, وَلَا يَتَمَسَّحْ مِنْ اَلْخَلَاءِ بِيَمِينِهِ, وَلَا يَتَنَفَّسْ فِي اَلْإِنَاءِ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ, وَاللَّفْظُ لِمُسْلِم ٍ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري (153)، ومسلم (267) (63) .

    Narrated Abu Qatada (rad): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Nobody should touch his pennies with his right hand when urinating, and should not clean himself (from defecation or urine) using his right hand and should not breathe in the utensil (he is drinking from).” [Agreed upon. This version is of Muslim].

    وَعَنْ سَلْمَانَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: { لَقَدْ نَهَانَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم – “أَنْ نَسْتَقْبِلَ اَلْقِبْلَةَ بِغَائِطٍ أَوْ بَوْلٍ, أَوْ أَنْ نَسْتَنْجِيَ بِالْيَمِينِ, أَوْ أَنْ نَسْتَنْجِيَ بِأَقَلَّ مِنْ ثَلَاثَةِ أَحْجَارٍ, أَوْ أَنْ نَسْتَنْجِيَ بِرَجِيعٍ أَوْ عَظْمٍ” } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِم ٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (262) قيل لسلمان: قد علمكم نبيكم صلى الله عليه وسلم كل شيء حتى الخراءة. قال: أجل. لقد نهانا… الحديث.

    Narrated Salman (rad): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) forbade us to face the Qiblah when defecating or urinating, or to clean ourselves using the right hand, or to clean ourselves with less than three stones, or to clean ourselves with dung or a bone [Reported by Muslim].

    وَلِلسَّبْعَةِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي أَيُّوبَ – رضى الله عنه – { لَا تَسْتَقْبِلُوا اَلْقِبْلَةَ بِغَائِطٍ وَلَا بَوْلٍ, وَلَكِنْ شَرِّقُوا أَوْ غَرِّبُوا } 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري (144 و 394)، ومسلم (264)، وأبو داود (9)، والنسائي (12-23)، الترمذي (8)، وابن ماجه (318)، وأحمد (5 /414 و 416 و 417 و 421).

    Narrated Abu Ayub (rad): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) “Neither face nor turn your back to the Qiblah while defecating or urinating, but turn towards the east or the west”. [Reported by the As-Sab’a]

    وَأَصْلُهُ فِي اَلصَّحِيحَيْنِ مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ زَيْد ٍ 1 . 1 – صحيح. ولفظه: شكي إلى النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم: الرجل يخيل إليه أن يجد الشيء في الصلاة؟ قال: “لا ينصرف حتى سمع صوتا، أو يجد ريحا”. البخاري (137)، ومسلم (361).

    It is originally from the Sahihain of Bukhari and Muslim as the Hadith narrated by ‘Abdullah bin Zaid.

    وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا; أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { مَنْ أَتَى اَلْغَائِطَ فَلْيَسْتَتِرْ } رَوَاهُ أَبُو دَاوُد َ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. ووهم الحافظ في نسبته لعائشة رضي الله عنها، وإنما الحديث لأبي هريرة عند أبي داود (35).

    Narrated ‘Aisha (rad): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “If anyone goes to relive himself, he should conceal himself”. [Reported by Abu Da’ud].
