    وَعَنْ سُرَاقَةَ بْنِ مَالِكٍ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: { عَلَّمْنَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -فِي اَلْخَلَاءِ: ” أَنَّ نَقْعُدَ عَلَى اَلْيُسْرَى, وَنَنْصِبَ اَلْيُمْنَى” } رَوَاهُ اَلْبَيْهَقِيُّ بِسَنَدٍ ضَعِيف ٍ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. رواه البيهقي (1/96).

    Narrated Suraqa bin Malik (rad): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) educated us about lavatory (manners) that we should sit on our left foot and keep erect our right foot. [Reported by Al-Baihaqi through a chain of weak narrators].

    وَعَنْ عَلِيٍّ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: { كَانَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -يُقْرِئُنَا اَلْقُرْآنَ مَا لَمْ يَكُنْ جُنُبًا } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَةُ, وَهَذَا لَفْظُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيِّ وَحَسَّنَةُ, وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ حِبَّان َ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. رواه أبو داود (229)، والنسائي (144)، والترمذي (146)، ابن ماجه (594)، وأحمد (1/83)، وابن حبان (799). ولبعضهم ألفاظ أخر.

    Narrated ‘Ali (rad): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) used to teach us the Qur’an except when he was in a state of sexual impurity. [Reported by Ahmad and Al-Arba’a. This is the version of At-Tirmidhi who graded it Hasan (fair). And Ibn Hibban graded it Sahih (sound)].

    وَعَنْ عِيسَى بْنِ يَزْدَادَ, عَنْ أَبِيهِ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِذَا بَالَ أَحَدُكُمْ فَلْيَنْثُرْ ذَكَرَهُ ثَلَاثَ مَرَّاتٍ } رَوَاهُ اِبْنُ مَاجَه بِسَنَدٍ ضَعِيف ٍ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. رواه ابن ماجه (326) .

    Narrated ‘Iesa bin Yazdad from his father (ra): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “When one of you passes urine, he should empty his penis three times”. [Reported by Ibn Majah through a weak chain of narrators].

    وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا; { أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -سَأَلَ أَهْلَ قُبَاءٍ, فَقَالُوا: إِنَّا نُتْبِعُ اَلْحِجَارَةَ اَلْمَاءَ } رَوَاهُ اَلْبَزَّارُ بِسَنَدٍ ضَعِيف ٍ 1 . 1 – ضعيف. لجمعه بين الحجارة والماء، ورواه البزار (227/كشف الأستار) .

    Narrated Ibn ‘Abbas (صلى الله عليه وسلم): The Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) asked the residents of Quba that what had earned them the Praise of Allah and they replied, “We use water after (cleaning ourselves with) stones.” [Reported by Al-Bazzar with Da’if chain of narrators]

    وَأَصْلُهُ فِي أَبِي دَاوُدَ, وَاَلتِّرْمِذِيّ وَصَحَّحَهُ اِبْنُ خُزَيْمَةَ مِنْ حَدِيثِ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ – رضى الله عنه – بِدُونِ ذِكْرِ اَلْحِجَارَة ِ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه أبو داود (44)، والترمذي (3100) عن أبي هريرة، عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال: نزلت هذه الآية في أهل قباء: فيه رجال يحبون أن يتطهروا قال: كانوا يستنجون بالماء، فنزلت فيهم هذه الآية. قلت: وهو وإن كان ضعيف السند إلا أن له شواهد يصح بها، وقد ذكرتها في “الأصل”.

    and its Asl (original source) is in Abu Da’ud and At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Khuzaima graded it Sahih (sound) through Abu Huraira (rad) without mentioning the “stones”.]

    عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ اَلْخُدْرِيِّ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ اَلْمَاءُ مِنْ اَلْمَاءِ } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِم ٌ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه مسلم (343)، عن أبي سعيد الخدري قال: خرجت مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يوم الاثنين إلى قباء، حتى إذا كنا في بني سالم، وقف رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم على باب عتبان. فصرخ به، فخرج يجر إزاره، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “أعجلنا الرجل” فقال عتبان: يا رسول الله. أرأيت الرجل يعجل عن امرأته ولم يمن ماذا عليه ؟ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم: “إنما…” الحديث .

    Narrated Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri (rad): Allah’s Mesenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “The water (of the ghusl) is due to the water (of sexual emission)”. [Reported by Muslim]

    وَأَصْلُهُ فِي اَلْبُخَارِيّ ِ 1 . 1 – البخاري. ( 180 )، ولفظه: “إذا أعجلت -أو قحطت- فعليك الوضوء” وهو رواية لمسلم.

    وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ إِذَا جَلَسَ بَيْنَ شُعَبِهَا اَلْأَرْبَعِ, ثُمَّ جَهَدَهَا, فَقَدْ وَجَبَ اَلْغُسْلُ } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1 . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري (291)، ومسلم (348).

    Narrated Abu Huraira (rad): Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said that, “If one of you sits between her legs (of a woman) and penetrates her, Ghusl (bath) is obligatory.” [Agreed upon].

    زَادَ مُسْلِمٌ: “وَإِنْ لَمْ يُنْزِلْ ” 1 . 1 – وهي صحيحة أيضا.

    And Muslim added: “Even if he does not ejaculate”.

    ] وَعَنْ أُمِّ سَلَمَةَ; أَنَّ أُمَّ سُلَيْمٍ -وَهِيَ اِمْرَأَةُ أَبِي طَلْحَةَ- قَالَتْ: { يَا رَسُولَ اَللَّهِ! إِنَّ اَللَّهَ لَا يَسْتَحِي مِنْ اَلْحَقِّ, فَهَلْ عَلَى اَلْمَرْأَةِ اَلْغُسْلُ إِذَا اِحْتَلَمَتْ? قَالَ: “نَعَمْ. إِذَا رَأَتِ الْمَاءَ” } اَلْحَدِيثَ. مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ 1 [ . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري (282)، ومسلم (313)، وزاد مسلم: “فقالت أم سلمة: يا رسول الله! وتحتلم المرأة؟ فقال: تربت يداك! فبم يشبهها ولدها”. وزاد في رواية أخرى: “قالت: قلت: فضحت النساء”. ملاحظة: هذا الحديث لا يوجد في الأصل وأشار ناسخ “أ” إلى أنه من نسخة، مع العلم بأن الحديث ذكر في متن “أ”، وليس بالهامش.

    Narrated Umm Salam (rad): Umm Sulaim, the wife Abu Talha said, “O Allah’s Messenger! Allah is not ashamed of the truth. Is a Ghusl (bath) compulsory for a woman when she has a sexual dream?” He (صلى الله عليه وسلم) replied, “Yes! When she sees signs of liquid” [Agreed upon].
