وَلَهُ: مِنْ حَدِيثِ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهَا; { أَمَرَ بِكَبْشٍ أَقْرَنَ, يَطَأُ فِي سَوَادٍ, وَيَبْرُكُ فِي سَوَادٍ, وَيَنْظُرُ فِي سَوَادٍ; لِيُضَحِّيَ بِهِ, فَقَالَ: “اِشْحَذِي اَلْمُدْيَةَ” , ثُمَّ أَخَذَهَا, فَأَضْجَعَهُ, ثُمَّ ذَبَحَهُ, وَقَالَ: “بِسْمِ اَللَّهِ, اَللَّهُمَّ تَقَبَّلْ مِنْ مُحَمَّدٍ وَآلِ مُحَمَّدٍ, وَمِنْ أُمّةِ مُحَمَّدٍ” } (1766) . 5 – صحيح. رواه مسلم ( 1967 ) وقد اختصر الحافظ بعض ألفاظه.

Muslim has also reported on the authority of ‘Aishah (RAA), “Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) ordered a horned ram with black legs, a black belly and black around its eyes, and it was brought for him to sacrifice and he said to ‘Aishah (RAA), “Aishah, get the knife.” Then he said, “Sharpen it with a stone.” When she had done so he took it, then taking it (the ram) he placed it on the ground and slaughtered it. He then said, “Bismillah (In the name of Allah), O Allah, accept it from Muhammad, Muhammad’s family and from Muhammad’s Ummah (followers).” (Then he sacrificed it.’

وَعَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -{ “مَنْ كَانَ لَهُ سَعَةٌ وَلَمْ يُضَحِّ, فَلَا يَقْرَبَنَّ مُصَلَّانَا” } رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ, وَابْنُ مَاجَه, وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلْحَاكِمُ, لَكِنْ رَجَّحَ اَلْأَئِمَّةُ غَيْرُهُ وَقْفَه ُ (1767) . 1 – حسن. رواه أحمد ( 8256 )، والحاكم ( 4 / 231 – 232 ) من طريق عبد الله بن يزيد المقرئ وابن ماجه ( 3123 ) من طريق زيد بن الحباب، كلاهما عن عبد الله بن عياش، عن عبد الرحمن الأعرج، عن أبي هريرة، مرفوعا، به. قلت: وهذا سند حسن من أجل ابن عياش. ورواه عبد الله بن وهب، عن ابن عياش فأوقفه. رواه الحاكم ( 4 / 232 ) وقال أوقفه عبد الله بن وهب إلا أن الزيادة من الثقة مقبولة، وأبو عبد الرحمن المقرئ فوق الثقة.

Abu Hurairah (RAA) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “He who can afford it but did not offer a sacrifice must not come near our place of prayer.” Related by Ahmad and Ibn Majah. Al-Hakim graded it as Sahih. Other Imams said that it is Mawquf (i.e. it is not connected to the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم).)

وَعَنْ جُنْدُبِ بْنِ سُفْيَانَ – رضى الله عنه – قَالَ: { شَهِدْتُ اَلْأَضْحَى مَعَ رَسُولِ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَلَمَّا قَضَى صَلَاتَهُ بِالنَّاسِ, نَظَرَ إِلَى غَنَمٍ قَدْ ذُبِحَتْ, فَقَالَ: “مَنْ ذَبَحَ قَبْلَ اَلصَّلَاةِ فَلْيَذْبَحْ شَاةً مَكَانَهَا, وَمَنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ ذَبَحَ فَلْيَذْبَحْ عَلَى اسْمِ اَللَّهِ” } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْه ِ (1768) . 2 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 5562 )، ومسلم ( 1960 ) ( 2 ) واللفظ لمسلم.

Jundub bin Sufian (RAA) narrated, ‘I witnessed (the prayer of) ‘Idul Ad-ha with the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) and when he finished his prayer with the people, he looked at a sheep which had been sacrificed, so he said, “Anyone who has sacrificed before the prayer must sacrifice another goat instead (of the one which he slaughtered before the prayer) and if anyone has not sacrificed he should do so in Allah’s name.” Agreed upon.

وَعَنِ اَلْبَرَاءِ بنِ عَازِبٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَامَ فِينَا رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -فَقَالَ: { “أَرْبَعٌ لَا تَجُوزُ فِي اَلضَّحَايَا: اَلْعَوْرَاءُ اَلْبَيِّنُ عَوَرُهَا, وَالْمَرِيضَةُ اَلْبَيِّنُ مَرَضُهَا, وَالْعَرْجَاءُ اَلْبَيِّنُ ظَلْعُهَ ا (1769) وَالْكَسِيرَةُ اَلَّتِي لَا تُنْقِي” } رَوَاهُ اَلْخَمْسَة ُ (1770) . وَصَحَّحَهُ اَلتِّرْمِذِيُّ, وَابْنُ حِبَّان َ (1771) . 1 – كذا “بالأصل” وهو الموافق لرواية السنن، وفي النسخة: “أ” : “عرجها” وأشار الناسخ في الهامش إلى نسخة “ضلعها”. 2 – كذا “بالأصلين” وأشار ناسخ “أ” في الهامش إلى نسخة: “أحمد والأربعة”. 3 – صحيح. رواه أبو داود ( 2802 )، والنسائي ( 7 / 214 – 215 )، والترمذي ( 1497 )، وابن ماجه ( 3144 )، وأحمد ( 4 / 84، 289 )، وابن حبان ( 1046 ). وقال الترمذي “حديث حسن صحيح”.

Al-Bara bin ‘Azib (RAA) narrated Allah’s Messenger (صلى الله عليه وسلم)stood among us and said, “There are four types of sacrificial animals, which are not permitted: A one-eyes animal which has obviously lost the sight of one eye, a sick animal which is obviously sick, a lame animal which obviously limps, and an old animal which has no marrow.” Related by Ahmad and the four Imams. At-Tirmidhi and Ibn Hibban graded it as Sahih.

وَعَنِ اِبْنِ عَبَّاسٍ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا; أَنَّ اَلنَّبِيَّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { “لَا تَتَّخِذُوا شَيْئاً فِيهِ اَلرُّوحُ غَرَضًا” } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ (1752) . 4 – صحيح. رواه مسلم ( 1957 ). والغرض: الهدف.

Ibn ‘Abbas (RAA) narrated that the Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “Do not take any living creature as a target.”Related by Muslim.

وَعَنْ كَعْبِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ – رضى الله عنه – { أَنّ امْرَأَةً ذَبَحَتْ شَاةً بِحَجَرٍ, فَسُئِلَ اَلنَّبِيُّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -عَنْ ذَلِكَ, فَأَمَرَ بِأَكْلِهَا } رَوَاهُ اَلْبُخَارِيُّ (1753) . 5 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 9 / 631 / فتح ).

Ka’b bin Malik (RAA) narrated, ‘A woman slaughtered a sheep with a stone, so the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) was asked about that and he ordered it to be eaten.’ Related by Muslim.

وَعَنْ رَافِعِ بْنِ خَدِيجٍ – رضى الله عنه – عَنِ اَلنَّبِيِّ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -قَالَ: { “مَا أُنْهِرَ اَلدَّمُ, وَذُكِرَ اِسْمُ اَللَّهِ عَلَيْهِ, فَكُلْ لَيْسَ اَلسِّنَّ وَالظُّفْرَ; أَمَّا اَلسِّنُّ; فَعَظْمٌ; وَأَمَّا اَلظُّفُرُ: فَمُدَى اَلْحَبَشِ” } مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ (1754) . 1 – صحيح. رواه البخاري ( 5503 )، ومسلم ( 1968 ).

Rafi’ bin Khadij (RAA) narrated that the Prophet (صلى الله عليه وسلم) said: “You may eat an animal which is slaughtered by any means which causes the blood to gush out as long as Allah’s Name is mentioned over it, except for the tooth and the claw (not allowed to be used). The tooth is a bone and the claw is the knife of the Abyssinians (Ethiopians).” Agreed upon.

وَعَنْ جَابِرِ بنِ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: { نَهَى رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ – صلى الله عليه وسلم -أَنْ يُقْتَلَ شَيْءٌ مِنَ اَلدَّوَابِّ صَبْرًا } رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ (1755) . 2 – صحيح. رواه مسلم ( 1959 ). ووقع في “الأصلين” : “أن نقتل شيئا” والتصحيح من “مسلم”.

Jabir bin Abdullah (RAA) narrated, “The Messenger of Allah (صلى الله عليه وسلم) prohibited beating a tied-animal to death.” Related by Muslim.
